This is a serious post and request. I live in Decatur County and my property tax bill went up $170.00 over last years bill. Has anyone in your County experienced this? I was told by our local tax office that this was a state wide move and every property owner in Georgia would feel the effect. Please let me know if anyone in your county can verify this. Thanks

Got mine yesterday, my taxes went up $171.00 while my property value went down in Mitchell County.It appears on my tax bill that the state took away the homestead exemption.Time to vote everybody from local goverment to the state goverment out,some have been in there so long they feel comfortable doing whatever they want and damned the people
