Doyle is the worst governor we ever had, and Barrett is his clone. Why is it the working man has to tighten his belt, when government doesn't even try to tighten theirs? Spend, spend, spend, Stop it already!

I don't like how the republicans are against the high speed rail system. This would create more jobs and would allow people to get jobs farther from home. The job market here in Beaver Dam seems pretty stagnant.

Walker for Governor? NO No No. Walker for Dog Catcher. MAYBE.? Of course Walker doesn't support high speed rail. The man doesn't know that anything matters outside of the Milwaukee area. Republicans spend spend spend on their benefactors while they cut schools, police, and people programs.

A Republican governor would never serve the needs of the average Wisconsinite. Most politicians are too influenced by those with the money, but at least the general philosophy of the Democratic Party is that government should promote the general welfare, not support the greed of the richest among us. How can any thinking person not see that Republicans are self-serving and completely uninterested in doing what's best for the country as a whole.

Scott Walker is the lesser of two evils. As a Republican, I'm worried about his run. This is largely due to the fact that the Milwaukee County Government is going bankrupt under his watch. He can, rightly, blame the County Board all day - but do we really want a Governor who blames the Legislature for all of the States problems. I'll vote for the sniveling Milwaukee Exec - but only because Barrett is worse.

I feel that Wisconsin is being destroyed by unconstitutional laws and mandates. I believe that we need common sense back in our state government!

I'm curious, Mr. Joyner: To what "unconstitutional" laws and mandates are you referring? And, can you give us an idea of what our government will be like when "common sense" is restored?

These phrases are used repeatedly by the conservative right, but there's never any real explanation of what you're getting at.

I thought in the governor's race there was a "None of the Above" option? Both major candidates are career politicians that do not understand liberty.

It's not about left or right it's about the Constitution and liberty -- "Classical Liberalism" if you will. Neither party gets it right when it comes to the Constitution and individual liberty. The healthcare bill is Unconstitutional as well these never ending undeclared wars. The Partiot Act is Unconstitutional as well. The whole welfare/warfare state is breaking us economically and is not supported by the highest law of the land -- The U.S. Constitution! There's no difference between either party, they just want to argue in which ways they will destroy our liberty.

Mr. Baber, I understand where you're coming from, and can agree with you on some points-such as the destructive nature of our undeclared wars. However, to argue against these and other ills on the basis of a strict interpretation of the constitution is, in my opinion, unrealistic. To function under a Constitution written more than two hundred years ago, we are required to read between the lines. We must try to apply its basic principles to 21st century America. And, the nation has been doing that kind of interpreting since the Constitution was ratified, for heaven sake

Secondly, I disagree that "it's not about left or right..." The right continually propagandizes by claiming to stand for a "return to our constitution" when it suits them. They have no problem, however, in arguing for banning gay marriage or abortion. Where in the Constitution are the words which allow for such government control of our private lives?

The left is much more consistent in assuming a liberal interpretation of the Constitution, with a strong emphasis on "promoting the general welfare".

He's everything Doyle and Barrett are not. This state NEEDS business to stay here. On and On and we do not need a highspeed train that the entire state will pay for and most will never use, especially for the cost of a round trip ticket.

If you want all Wisconsin to look like Milwaukee, then vote for Walker. Walker's plans will: Increase the number of people in poverty in Wisconsin especially children, our roads will falter even faster. He did a lousy job in Milwaukee, now he wants to be governor.
I don't understand this negative philosophy.

If you want all of Wisconsin to look like Milwaukee, vote for Walker.
If you want to increase the number of people living in poverty in WI, have our roads and bridges fail faster, vote for Walker.
Do you want more failures like the county mental health facility, vote for walker.
He did a lousy in Milwaukee and you want to vote for him?
I don't understand this negative philosophy.
It's very scary.
