Saturday, deputies with the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department arrested more than half of 60 people recently indicted by a grand jury in the latest county drug roundup.

The indictments followed an eight-month investigation by the HCSD, according to Sheriff Esco Jarnagin.

“The investigation will be ongoing, and there will not be a let-up, until all 60 indictments have been served,” Jarnagin said.“Pills are the number one cause of death for people under the age of 65 in Hamblen County. That’s terrible.”

Jarnagin said more than 25 deputies were involved with the roundup that began around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

The following are those arrested as of Saturday afternoon, according to the HCSD, they are listed alphabetically by last name. They all face charges for the sale and delivery of drugs unless otherwise indicated.
