Is "Tri-County" the Free Clinic? If not, what is it?

Heck no it isn't free. They send you bills. And charge you for things they didn't even do. I needed a note written for school and a copy of my shot records. Received the bill in the mail and they charged me for an office visit and an alcohol screening. They did not get any blood or urine out of me. She listened to my heart and lungs was all. All I needed was a piece of paper.
@ really sassy it is a walk in clinic and you can make appointments. Don't know where you live but it's located on 641 going towards Walmart. It's on the right before you get to what was thatcher's Italian grill.

Chealsey snd Cindy are the nurse practitioners there now. They are both great. I slso liked Holly and Ginny before they left. Holly still works at Tri county at their Jackson location, cause they told me I could go see her there. They don't require appointments and are open on Sat. They have been asking alcohol screening questions cause the federal government wants people screened and treated for alcoholism. Thats what the alcohol screening was for. I looked online and Medicare and Medicaid want alcohol, depression, obesity, tobacco, std's, and heart trouble screened for yearly. So don 't get pissed at them since they the only clinic in the county following the updated rules! Also they won Best Clinic in Benton Co in newspaper twice and only been open two yrs, so they must be something right. I say give em a try if you want the best Camden clinic.

Well, I don't have health insurance so why did they throw a bogus charge on my bill? Especially when, they got nothing from me to test for alcohol? They didn't get urine or blood from me. Therefore, I don't believe they actually tested me. You can't tell if a person drinks by looking at them. You can't say it was for insurance purposes because as I said, I don't have any. I won't be going back and will be going elsewhere.

The tri county clinic in Paris did the same to me but they charged for blood work they didn't do. Also if you have medicare they charge twice as much then bill you for the difference.

Are your charges based on your Income?
I know where this Clinic is on 641N. but I've never been to it nor do I know anybody who has. So, I'm interested in any truthful information available, such as is it Independently-Owned or affiliated with a Hospital or Medical Group?

Really you of all people should know better. Asking strangers on topix questions about Health care providers. Call them and ask your questions yourself and form your own opinons it's your life !!
I do agree the ladies there are good nurse's. They are also overworked like most health care providers. When I've asked about unnessacary tests I get the we have to response also. Yet other clinics don't have to. It is my personal opinon that the owner Toby requires them to give/bill for as many tests as possible. More tests more income. It hurts those of us with High Deductible's and no insurance. It is also a big part of the reason medicare and mediciad are in such sad shape and will no longer exist as we know them now in a few years. JUst my opinon but you can bet on it.

Oh, I have no intention...at this time...of going there. I have a Doctor of many years. But, things can change and I'm just curious as to why somebody thought we needed a Clinic. I thought we had 2 or 3 already. I also wondered if this was something the State was involved in like Paris and Huntingdon has at their Health Depts., but it doesn't sound like it.

Well, maybe you're different than I am, but my idea of a "fun time" is NOT driving around to different Towns, looking at their Healthcare Clinics, but that's just me! Geez!

Well no kidding...but that still doesn't tell me a thing about it, other than it's locations in two adjoining Counties...which I already knew about one of them, but I thought it was affiliated with Baptist Memorial. Oh, nevermind, I'll just ask my Doctor, if the info isn't online.
