Have you checked with Indian artifacts?
Where did you get it?
In north myrtle beach- cherry grove- I dug it up about 4 years ago?? while trying to find hermit crabs for my son- it was buried in about 4 ft. of water under about a foot of sand. It is very heavy- like petrified wood, looks like lava rock in color, but has symetrical markings. To me, it kinda looks like the face of a fox- I know the picture is poor quality (something is wrong with my camera) but it is also degraded from little ocean creatures making homes in it for years.

looks like a piece of metal to me, if it is perhaps its a fallen piece from a aircraft or satellite or small part of a meteorite which is composed of iron and other minerals.

Take it to the State Museum. Ask for the Curator of Natural History. If he can't tell you, you can bet someone in that museum can.

Guessing, it's either a petrified animal hoof (Small Horse) with random markings on it from the ocean, or it's a broken discoidal (?), which is an Indian artifact.

It looks like a spearhead. Call Dr. Goodyear at USC. He does a lot of work with this type of thing. There is something called the Topper Site found in Allendale County that he has been working on.
