Nice letter Judge Ferris, couldn't agree anymore. So sad that these people are allowed to throw dirt and personal info they think they know on someone smeared on a website. I know they feel so good about themselves and makes them feel so empowered. I have nothing but respect for Judge Ferris' opinion and thank him for his many valuable years of commitment to our community. You are a very great gentleman and we truly THANK YOU!

"very great gentleman"...you've got to be kidding!

It's the "good ole boys network" alive and well in Camden. Our political machine is so corrupt it is beyond laughable...it's pathetic.

Make no mistake and don't put words in my mouth - I never maligned Ken Ferris. But I join the majority of Camdenites in rejecting Lydia Yerdon. And personal info I read on a website? Think I made it clear I know her AND her history. Those are facts and you can turn your back if you choose, but I won't.

Let me make this clear, you are not a good person if you go as far as posting someone's personal business as a smear tactic. Don't worry your opinion will come back to haunt you some day. It's ok to have an opinion, to voice it and let it be heard but your nastiness is clearly inexcusable.

How rude! Retired Judge Ferris is one of the most upstanding people I know, how dare you say that. Nasty, nasty people, grow up!

To allen; interesting, and The Trunk Monkey...we are all entitled to our opinions and the right to express them. I do not hold Judge Ferris in the high esteem you do and NEVER will...no I am not a "hick momo" nor a primate...just a person with negative experiences with Judge Ferris, compromised by the "good ole boys network"...

In that case, you should also be offended by how that network ramrodded Lydia Yerdon into office when there were clearly more qualified people interested in the job. And you're also questioning how "personal financial restrictions" means she takes a cut in pay (like so she doesn't screw up her government handouts.) Right?

Great point. It's like ppl talk out both sides of their mouth. It's not right coming on here and airing someone's dirty laundry. Dollars to donuts Frankie wouldn't like anyone discussing his private business on here and I know there's something because he is human, right?

I have no idea about "Frankie" but you apparently missed the point altogether. Read it again. If OMG is offended by how the good ole boy network railroaded him, then he should be equally upset by how it's now pushing Ferris' protege into office. Please try to follow the conversation... it isn't hard.

I have respect for Judge Ferris, however, he was used by the political machine that is the Town of Camden GOP committee. He was convinced to stay on the bench until after the 2011 election so that the Town Supervisor could make his own personal appointment. The machine must be brought down. This election will be the beginning of the end of the Yerdon regime.

To Reliable Source...I am offended by the way in wich Mrs. Yerdon was "appointed"...the entire process needs an "over haul"...things are pretty sad here.

Then we can agree, up to the point where you pin Ferris on this. I've known him for the 20 years I've been in Camden and involved in its politics, and I've never once known him lobby for one candidate over the other. So while you may have your personal issues with Ken, I believe 100 percent of the blame for this debacle goes to Yerdon and the chairman of Camden's GOP at the time this appointment was made, which was Barclay Mutch.

Lydia does not have to go away ,,, Its her right ,, who cares how she cleans her house or who she has been with .. shes the one taking care of her children , her husband and her home ,,, the past is just that "past*... Let her do her job . If she gets it .. she may do one hell of a job and watch out ..you may have to go in front of her .... Give her a chance .. shut up again on the past ,, we all got a few skeletons floppin around ......so you can call me an ass cause i dont vote ... if i did i would vote for her ,,,Just because !!!! and Judge Ferris is one of the best men i have ever know ,and i agree he is an outstanding man and i also would be proud to say that to anyone ,,, Good luck to all.. Give it your best shot Lydia ,,
