Has it come to the point that Carroll County citizens will have to start carrying weapons and protecting themselves? I had to call the county Sherriff's Department this weekend, only to find that there was only 1 deputy on duty. Later I found out that he would be laid off in a month. Frankly this is quite unnerving. Deputy Hall was great to deal with! Even though he was very busy he did not let it show and handled my problem with great urgency and professionalism.

Our state really needs to take another look at what they are doing to our county. Our county roads are horrific and now your are taking away from our law enforcement. Where does it end?
