Most of the fees for using Plainfield's popular Recreation Center and Splash Island water park will be unchanged this year.

They need to raise the rates. Have you ever tried to swim in a pool that this packed sholder to sholder with sweaty people.

How about doubling the non-resident rates so that those of us who footed the bill for this facility can reasonably enjoy it! I am tired of my pool (built with my tax money) being a tourist destination for the Marion County scum.
Good Idea

There should probably be a larger break for residents as property taxes from residents underwrite the facility.

Love the facility and use it regularly but will always question the role of government in providing these type of services.

Right on, Pete! I've already paid for this park with my tax dollars. Lower my residental rate and raise the non-resident rate. Why should I pay twice and have to share my pool?
