Is this really necessary? I thought we were here to discuss a death, not score spelling errors. Jackie is allowed to make her comments, just like you are allowed. As for the comment "what comes around, goes around," perhaps it is coming around since it is Melynda that is being charged with the crime and not anyone else.

Nope, I didn't ignore my mom! She taught me to NEVER harm anyone, especially a child!! Which is exactly why I'm not sitting in jail right now on a murder charge; I listened to my Mom! And the light is shinning, right down on me -- I haven't killed anyone! Therefore, I AM on that list! No light shinning down on Melynda. Oh wait, yes here is, or will be. Now, don't get me wrong, there is nothing in any of us (me included!) that makes us righteous - apart from Jesus. Without HIS righteousness - our best is nothing but filthy rags. That's why He doesn't say one sin is worse than another. Any sin can condemn you for eternity: cheating on your husband, stealing from work, pride, selfishness, hatred, having a merciless attitude as reflected in this passage above... etc... its the condition of the heart -- period! At best, God wants to save us from ourselves. When we think our sin is not as bad as "Joe Shmoe" who cheated on his wife, because we only thought about it, but didn't act, we're wrong. If we think "well, I might have ran a red light, or forged some checks, but I didn't murder anyone" -- we're wrong... sin is sin is sin, plain and simple. So what hope is there for any one of us? It's found in Jesus! Our righteousness can only be found in HIM!
It's what HE wants for ALL of US! So WE can have peace no matter what happens around US. It's the thing that gave me peace when my sister and nephew were killed, and they couldn't get justice. I can leave it all in God's hands, because only HE is able to make it right, bringing true justice and peace and mercy that we all need.
I'm sorry if you cannot comprehend such a hope, but it's the best I can offer you.... I offer you -- JESUS.

Brenda, when quoting me, please make sure you get it correct! A quote is exactly what was said and you have not gotten what I said correctly! I did NOT say that Melynda was the ONLY one who needed it, I said "she needs it"! As in she is in jail, facing a murder charge and she's going to need all the prayer she can get!

you know, I'm all for justice being served and am one of the one's who feels that the injuries couldn't possibly have occurred the way Melynda said that they did, but saying "can't wait =)" when referring to the trial of a person accused of harming a child is a bit much. Its not like you have tickets to the superbowl, I would be horrified to have to listen to the injuries that Kierstan suffered.

The past comments about 'bible-thumping' and 'BS' do more than strongly suggest that you don't want or need it... thus my comment "we all need it." This forum is not ONLY for the Dawson supporters. Brenda; I applaud your decision to stick by your friend right or wrong, that's what real friends are supposed to do. However, as a friend, I believe you should be encouraging Melynda to be truthful with herself and the legal representatives since God cannot bless a lie. I believe God can use any situation as a blessing, even a horrendous one such as this. But, before Melynda can find peace from God and let him Guide her she needs to be truthful and let him take it from there. May God bless you in your endeavor

God's ways are too great for me to understand, all I can do is thank Him, and do what He calls me to do. Uh, right now, I think it's 'do my dishes and laundry.' LOL!
