OMG Brenda, give it up! Insinuating that Candi may have done drugs or drank alcohol during her pregnancy is the most preposterous thing to come out of your mouth yet! Do you know Candi personally? Or are you just making $hit up as you go along? Yeah, I thought so! You DON'T know her, so shut your mouth!!
I was at that hearing on Wednesday and I feel that the judge was fair! He took into consideration EVERYTHING both attorney had to say and he didn't jump to a decision. He took his time to read the reports and study case law. It's SO OBVIOUS that something in those medical reports POINTS TO ABUSE! DEAL WITH IT AND EXCEPT IT!!!!
I think Danny said it best ... "no one wants to see her go to jail, however! We all LOVE Kierstan and we are here for ANSWERS!" I don't know about the rest of you, but MY questions were answered TODAY!
God bless the Dawson and Briggs family ... may you find the strength to endure the trial!

My friend MAY have done a very bad thing, and I am ready to deal with the outcome. She has not created a 'list' of excuses, she doesn't need them.
A very good family was finally in Shane, Timmy and Kierstan's lives and embraced them: people who cherished these children and loved being mama, grandpa and grandma, aunts and uncles, have lost a darling child in Kierstan who meant as much to them as flesh and blood, and will never. The passing children back and forth was done and over, they had a loving place in this family. And the family went beyond those homes - it was and is church & community, we all were there for support. Why should we stop now? Because you say Melynda is not worthy? Because you insist she's a criminal? I want, we want, need all the proof, and there comes that day all things will be set forth rightly and honestly -- her day in court. Just let it be, please -- let God guide the courts to all the truth. No innuendo, no agenda, no politics.

Are you talking to me Brenda? If so, you need to back up and read my post again! I didn't say I had a corner on the facts, nor did I act like I do! I don't know anything more then the rest of us. I simply stated that I FEEL as though the judge was fair at that hearing. He didn't jump the gun, he took his time and looked at the evidence. Judging by the fact that he held these charges over for trial is an obvious admission that there IS in fact evidence to support the charges.
No one wants to admit that Melynda is responsible for Kierstan's death ... even myself. However, it is what it is! You keep saying to let the evidence speak for itself and she deserves a fair trial (which I couldn't agree with more)... but the evidence is speaking ... you just aren't listening!

Yes, Melynda is my friend... but I want Justice and Truth GOD'S way, not the 'blog' way... people are not interested in the whole truth here, just their opinions and revenge. The hateful and ignorant comments only make you look bad, whether done in the court room or the blogs.
She needs her day in court, so there will be no doubts as to what truly happened - before, during and after - that fateful moment. She will remain my friend, no matter what, I'll not be a 'fair-weather' friend.
God bless you, folks, I KNOW your hearts hurt in all this. I pray God helps you and all of us through this. Please don't start turning into what you have been trying to change. A judging person. Candy was not a drinker or druggie person while pregnant with her daughter. Please stop this she is in enough pain as Shane and Malynda and all of us are for that matter. I just wish all the cruel comments would stop. This is not at all what Kierstan would have wanted. If you ever saw her smile you would realize this was true. Let all her goodness come out in all of you.

See above ^ I DID know Kierstan. I knew her smile, She was a wonderful child, indeed! I think folks here need to read all the posts completely. We all have questions. Do realize when I make a posts it generally is not addressing a single poster, but consensus I see condemning her without a fair trial. Sorry for the mis-conception. I am not laying blame at any one person's feet - that is why I will wait for the court's decision.
