Must be nice to not have to take a stand. Well, at least you feel better about yourself while you're sitting on the fence. But at least you feel better about yourself, congratulations gutless! |

Your perspective sucks. Just because you don't want to take a stand doesn't make you better. Must be nice to always come down on the right side of any issue. Grow a pair! You make me sick!

They will not do it as she is a token and she might have the union backing her. |

My sister worked at prison (na educator) in New York for 22 years before retiring and she would agree with you on cetain areas... I will not name the prison, as I'm not sure if she still could get in trouble, but it's one of the nations worst and famous prisons. |
I agree to a point. There are some as you explain and then there are some who don't realize what they were truly getting into; completely unaware and thought they understood because of the books they read. You definitely need school but experience finalizes it. There are even some that become so disturbed by what they see.... well lets just say they end up needing counseling, you understand. Personally, I needed a break to get a breath of fresh air, going back in to try and help make a difference. The employees, because of what the profession demands, that do inherit the criminal personality....there either weak in character or prior to being employed they already crossed over from cautious to cynical and all hell breaks loose (the stories behind the walls). I do believe there are a great deal more convicted innocent people than the system would like to admit; if they admitted it then the responsible person would have a definite problem with their own well being. I started writing a book; I haven't decided yet to publish when I'm completed or just keep it for my own reference. I get pretty detailed at times and I sometimes think society may not be ready for it; there's enough confusion in the world now. I will say this, repeat criminal offenders definitely believe it's a way of life...that everyone is like them but there are some real hard cores who are just as much a threat to them self as they are others. |

When a person sits in the middle of the road (you say sits on the fence) they get to see traffic a lot better on both sides; they get a better understanding of both the convicted felon as well as the employee by focusing and listening to both sides. If I only allowed my self to see one side I would become judgemental and cynical towards the other side and end up being part of the problem. With sitting on top of the fence, as you put it, try physically sitting on top of one once; it's much much harder. No I'm not being sarcastic, judgemental or cynical towards you; that would make me a hypocrite. |

This website is factual and documented; their are some that have seen it and can't accept what actually has happened. Click on 'blood on hands'....real life. Crazy! http;//www.arpaio.com/top-ten/index.php This state has its share of similar incidents. It's not that the good guys are the bad guys....its that they end up being the bad guys. Federal money is paid for each individual inmate every year they are incarcerated...big business. Medical being controlled by out of state business...less medical attention to the inmate=lawsuits to the state and our taxes...who's making the money the out of state business (I'll let your creative mind work out other possible money making thoughts). I could go on but.....The citizen ends up directing its anger incorrectly and it's not their fault really only because they don't know and don't know where to look. Anyway, I hope this helps with a better understanding. |
