My niece suffered those same injuries when she was 9 weeks old. She was shaken by her father. He was alone with her the night while her mother worked and he has used every excuse in the book from "she fell off the couch" to "her 8 year old sister fell down the stairs with her". Something happened to this little girl. Something more than just tripping over an extension cord and falling into a car seat. Shaking a baby causes horrific damage to the brain. For this little girls sake, I hope everyone involved will tell the God's honest truth. That little girl deserves that much, as does her family. Our family still doesn't know the whole truth about that dreadful day my niece was shaken. I pray to God that someday her father will tell the truth so we can put our minds at ease as to what happened. These babies deserve justice.

I am the oldest sister of Patty. She would like everyone to know that under no circumstances did that child every fall in her home. She is very upset that the defense even suggested that in the court hearing on Wednesday! Furthermore, she would like the defense (or anyone else associated with the Frenches) to know that if they are looking for a loophole, to not look there. Patty was a loving aunt who never once harmed that child, and to suggest otherwise is ludicrous!

On another front, Patty would like everyone who is associated with the Frenches to please ask stop asking my family why they are present when they see them at the hearings. Last time we checked, we are (or were) related to Kierstan, so that gives us the right to be there.

Let me throw this out there for anyone in this precious little girls life. For those that believe this was Shaken Baby Syndrome there is a wonderful online group you can join called SBS Support and Discussion. I've been a member for over 5 years now and they are amazing people. They provide tons of information regarding SBS and enormous love and support for those who have loved ones that fell victim to SBS or even worse, lost their little ones to it. One more thing... I need to mention that it's a place where there is 0 tolerance for bashing, negativity, slanderous remarks towards other members, etc. This is a place where we can all get together and join forces for one cause and that is to STOP SBS!

I think this is total bullshit, ive been reading the articles and watching what goes on.. angel is a good friend of mine and NO ONES family should have to go through this, if she gets off the hook i think everyone would fight for a trial.. stay strong angels family justice is coming.

Would a person who abused a child over an 'extended period of time' be comfortable with bringing said child to church and children's church where others would see such physical traumas? There are still too many factors left unconsidered, sorry!
And it is understood Patty did not hurt Kierstan.
In my own family - children hit each other with rocks, shovels, pushed each other... no one would have blamed me if they got hurt, because moms are very busy people, we cannot be everywhere! And we never know the extent of the injuries until something goes wrong... today, one of my children has migraines, very possibly connected to his sister hitting him with a hammer -- Accidents happen.
Now, Justice will come - but lets let the courts do it right. God bless you all...

Sure they would. My nieces abuser had no problem toting her around town. She had been to visit her grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. He had no problem bringing in the babysitters for his Friday nights out. He had a lie for every bruise on her little body and his lies were believable. Seems to me if he was afraid of anyone knowing what he'd been doing to his baby girl...he wouldn't have paraded her around...but he did. So if I had to speak my opinion...I'd say sure they might. I agree with you on the comment of letting the courts do their job now. Let's just hope they do the job properly for Kierstan's sake.
