Wow. They interviewed fifty people and they thought these three are the best? One a two time drunk driver, at least only caught twice, who publicly says he has been sober since April? Seriously? This represents the change they are looking for?

No wonder things are going to h3ll in a hand basket in this town. The selectmen should be ashamed.

It'll be all they can get. Just wait until the new superintendent is chosen by the school committee. That person will surely be a winner too!

Eliminate the drunk. This job will be the springboard for more DUIs.
Don't know much about the other 2. The guy from Billerica is more familiar with this area, but that dosen't neccesarily mean he's the best qualified. Hope they ask them tough questions during the interviews.

I know I don't live in Tewksbury, but living in Billerica and knowing Richard Montouri the choice is easy.

If Tewksbury doesn't hire Montouri they are stupid. The only reason he left Billerica was because two Selectmen were making the job untenable. He is a true professional!

He was the best TMs Billerica ever had, he will make you proud.

Hire him!!!

The selectman of Tewksbury should be totally embarrassed by selecting a drunk attending AA as a finalist for town manager. Are you kidding me? The residents of this town deserve better.

I look forward to watching the interviews with the Selectmen and then I'll make up my own mind on these men. That said, I think the committee did a great job... with those hiring committees you might be surprised at some of the folks that apply.

Just an FYI....the TM Screening Committee chose the three finalists, not the Selectmen. I believe they were wise enough not to choose Mr. Kelley. Off the top, I would eliminate the first....ie. why even go there? That said, the other two "seem" qualified but would like to learn more about them. I too am interested in following the interview process particularly the finalists' interaction with the BOS and the community he will serve. Besides acute managerial ability, I believe forthright communication skills should be paramount along with honest openness and citizen accessibility/ accountability.

Is your last name Wentworth? You have got to be kidding me. Great job? Please.

This Andrews guy is an absolute disgrace and should be dropped from consideration immediately.

Second that! He would never come back to Billerica - he knows how bad it is here

Mr Maylor fits the bill for town manager due to the fact that he held a position in Chelsea as part of the first administration following the city's receivership. Thats where Tewksbury is heading with the folks running our town!!!!

We don't need a town manager who is accessible to every town resident who has a gripe with a particular town employee. All that will do is get more of the same. We need a town manager that can manage, one that respects all departments including the school department(which happens to be part of the town of Tewksbury, and one that can draw clean business to the community, and one that can publicly articulate the issue in an understandable way.

Maybe there is a better man for the position, but no way should Jay Kelley have been skipped over as a finalist. The guy has stepped up time after time, and to snub him in favor of a drunk is plain wrong. If the selectmen allow this I will remember come election time!

Maylor is the best choice...unlike Montouri who has been out of the business for the last several years.

That's the problem in this town.....too many townies in "power". It's disgusting! Tewksbury will never learn!

Montouri would be the best choice for Tewksbury since they need to resolve their budget issues.

This is a total disgrace. I can't wait for these people on the Board of Selectman to come up for election. It will make us all feel better when we vote them OUT!
They haven't represented us in years. Giving Christine McGrath a pay raise to keep her here , when she was shopping for a new job. Then a year later she retires.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Pisces

This is a great day for understanding what's going on under the surface of things and for tuning into the subtle messages that others are sending out. For instance, someone may say one thing yet you'll be utterly convinced that they really mean something quite different. However, they won't like it if you say so, so you'll have to maintain a tactful and discreet silence.
