So wonderful to read about Malden being the best place in the state to raise a family. Great mayor, an up and coming downtown, relatively new schools and great restaurants. Yeah, Malden!!

Malden is a crime ridden dump. This city is a corrupt pile of garbage that steals from the taxpayers and then wants to tax them again by making them pay for rubbish removal. The mayor should look into cleaning up the theft at city hall before making honest people pay for his mismanagement. Who came up with the statistics about the school system? Probabally the same liar who came up with the crime numbers. Unsafe city that tells the citizens it is safe is a lying administration that should be investigated.

i am a teen from malden. malden has multiple gangs. my freinds have been shot and or stabbed once or multiple times. ive been jumped in my care with my freinds and family in it. they totalled my car. malden has a high drug rate. almost every1 i know has some kind of gun. i know people in malden who have automatic weapons. i could buy and ak47 if i wanted to. two guys tryed highjacking my freinds car while he was in it. but my freinds had to pull out a knife and stab them back after they stabed him with a screw driver. nere my house there has been multiple drive bys. the school is unfair and the principal should be fired he doesnt do his job and is a rumored alcoholic. ive had to bribe cops before to let me go because they somehow found an ounce of weed on me. witch wasnt mine. the cops are crooked. two cops barged into my house and harrassed me and my freind. at the feasts in malden theres gang force task and once even an fbi agent. there undercovers there. and in malden they have young looking cops walking around to cetch off gaurd punks. wen im walkin around with my freinds there has been times were cops would stop us and give us random searches and handcuff us for no reson. i have to walk around with a rock knife or gun or screw driver so i dont get robbed. theres even crack all around malden every were i go theres always sum1 stopping me asking me if i have any to sell them. ive walked by streets and seen people jumping someone. ive seen kids gets jumped during school right in school!. i can go on and on and continue to show you how malden is not a good place at all. its full of crime gangs guns and drugs. ive witnessed gang fights ive witnessed shooting ive witnessed robbings ive witnessed store robbing i was in a car wen people ran up on us and pulled out a gun and demanded money at a red light. ive even witnessed grown men jump the younger kids in the gangs in malden becus there tired of the crime. come on if the grown men of malden have to take actions into there own hands becus the cops r to curropt to do anything about it then that must mean malden is a badd place. yes malden use to be good but not no more. i memba wen i was young i older teen in malden said to me quote "were some people are from if u kill someone ur a nobody, but here its wen u kill someone ur a somebody" its crazy i think to think that. but ive grown with that thout in my head and ive done stupid stuff and its only wen u do it and u do it so much u dont want to c the younger kids do it becus u kno the pain it causes to urself and others. but wat can we do wen the cops aint doin shit. AFFILIATES ALL DAY!! M.O.E.

I was born in Malden, in 1950. Before all the crime. When people never had a second thought about walking the streets, goinggrocery shopping in Suffolk Square, Nelson's Bakery, etc.

I lived on Bryant Street, near the old Uzaski's Drug Store.

If any of you want to chat about this, my email address is in my profile. Feel free!

i was born and raised in malden and i agree with the first posting here this is a VERY corrupt city were they line there pockets with tax money and when they need more they tell the police to ticket us and then charge us for bags !!! mayor howard has been in way to long and is not questioned and the building dept is under qualified shoe makers !!!! scott fitzpatrick should be selling hot dogs at fenway not telling peaple how to build !!! im in the process of selling my home and moving to a real city

Malden sucks. Full of illegal aliens and people kicked out of Boston for housing issues. This city is led by liars and thieves. Malden has been in the news about twenty times the past year for administrator issues. Mayor appointing his buddy to library board. Police chief no sirens, give the citizens tickets to pay for the city. Assessors office employee stealing $500,000.00 etc etc etc...

It is terrible how they are making people pay for their trash. Not only do they have to pay taxes, now they have to pay for their trash too. I'm glad I do not live in MALDEN ANYMORE. Best place to live HA.

Business Week magazine should visit the low life scum that recently moved to 444 Bryant Street and then issue a new report on life in Malden.

I have lived in Malden for over 25 years and I know that it isn't any worse than any other area around here. Its not the town, the people or the law inforcement. Its not the fault of the mayor, the president or any other official. People come on, read your Bible, we are living in the last days and everything that is going is foretold in the Bible. I know that there will be alot sarcastic remarks to this post but I hope the ones of you that get to thinking about the times we live in will pray about it and live according to the prayers. God is the only one who can fix Malden or anywhere else. Make the best out of it and please dont spend your time complaining about things. Get serious about life and let God handle the rest.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 Critical times hard to deal with will be here, men will be lovers of themselves, haughty, blasphemers, lovers of pleasure instead of lovers of God.
I would love to talk about how to help our lives get better by just relying on God and not worrying about who the next mayor will be or what is going on with the police dep. If you have a family to worry about then you need to prioritize things and stop wasting your time complaing about where you live. The bigger cities would laugh about this post.
Have a great weekend and pray to God he is the only one who will listen.

...grow up. Why don't you read something more historical than a Bible and maybe you'd realize religion is social control nothing more. All fabricated and the God you so worship is based upon 5,000 years of Pagan and Egyptian mythology. yawnn.. It certainly IS the fault of the mayor and police and any other assholes that take advantage of their positions and abuse their power. "Get serious about things and let God do the rest?" lol.. Instead of looking to a magical man in the sky to fix these problems why wouldn't we look here at those in charge?

Its just nuts that you think anyone on Earth can fix the problems we have. I choose to spend my time know the truth about it. You can sit around and complain about what is happening all you want. You or anyone else isn't going to be able to change it! Its everyones choice, they could choose to look at things my way and wait patiently for God to intervene and fix this mess that we have all made.
Have a great day trying to change Malden or the world if you choose. I have better things to do.

Oh by the way God is not dead! Now thats the stupidest thing I've heard lately. I do feel sorry for people who feel that way. I don't know if I could deal with life if I didn't have God and they hope that he is going to make things better very soon.

People are being shot on the street, mugged at the train stations, deteriorating downtown unles your an alcoholic and need to find a bar. Mayor who has no touch with the community who should be investigated for some of his dealings along with the Malden Redevelopment Authority
