please move your cars off the main streets, and park on the odd side of the street, towing has begun. Let's see if they do the side streets

I live on a two-way street and towing has not begun here. I'm so tired of reporting this to the mayors office, it falls on deaf ears. I'm convinced they just do not care what you have to say. The more you tell of an issue, the more it does not get done. Either that or Mayor DeMaria has lousy people working for him, not doing their jobs.

The 2 way streets are un passable when the city does not tow. We are getting a lot of snow it's time to get the cars off the streets. Main Roads and side streets. The call we got from the mayors office said cars will be ticketed and towed at 7:00pm last night. It's time for people to abide by rules for the safety of all. The city is going to make some good money today. If you dont tow, people will never take you seriously. This is an emergency, this is when you should tow, not like gestapos on street sweeping when the weather is warm and the streets ARE passable. Lets get this right this time.

Last winter the city towed eleven cars on my street
for parking on the wrong side. A city truck was
supervising. I asked if after the city would plow
where they had towed. The city employee told me yes. This was the reason thae cars were towed. I am still waiting for them to plow.( I was not towed )

I remember these events at election time!

I don't know if you live on a two-way street or not but when the towing does not happen ( which causes plowing to be terrible) it is literally impossible to get up and down the street.

Not only that, but none of the catch basins ever get cleared which causes flooding on my street. I'm only asking to do what every other city and town does. It's not difficult and towing is necessary during snow storms. What this city needs is a parking garage. That's what should have happened with the Devens School, not a political moneymaker.

And if they put in a garage and you park your vehicle, how do you get home ??? This garage we would ALL pay for would only be for the residents in that area. We do not live near there so what good would it do the majority of Everett residents?

There should be plenty of parking on the side streets so ALL streets can be plowed for use in the event of an emergency. Then the emergency is lifted and streets are plowed it's back to normal parking....

WALK. Like we all used to do. Everybody today has to be picked up door to door that's why there's an obesity problem in this country. Other cities have municipal parking and do half price or free parking in snow emergencies. I would park my car in a garage rather that have it buried on the street.

I'm not saying they shouldn't tow but at 8am this morning when there wasn't a flake on the roads? What about the guy who worked the middle shift last night, got up at 9am to move his car, and it was towed? The ban should have been in effect starting at noon.

Dr. Oz: If you think it is safe to walk the streets of Everett at night after parking your vehicle at the opposite end of the city, you haven't walked much in Everett recently have you?

How about if neighbors were more willing to say to a neighbor, "I'll let you park in our driveway for the night, we can make room for you." That would be really neighborly and would work for the short term of 24 to 48 hours....It really wouldn't take much effort to share what we have now would it ???

And yes it is done - we do it in our neighborhood....there are still some great people that live in Everett ....

Why does everyone assume that parking on the the odd side of the street is correct? On Irving street everyone needs to park on the even side.

If a street has parking on one side only that applies every year.
