According to the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll, 57% of Americans favor a public option, which is neither forced nor socialized health insurance.

Pelosi doesn't have the votes, so your bogus poll means nothing.

I didn't create the poll - The Washington Post/ABC News did. Your calling it bogus means nothing; it only shows that you are unwilling to accept the findings because it doesn't fit with your own views.

Whether or not Pelosi has the votes is not the question - its what a majority of the American people want. If Congress doesn't deliver, voters will remember in 2010.

If that poll is accurate, and I doubt that it is, it just shows how dumbed down the people are.
Public option will end up with employers dropping their own plans, paying the fine, and telling employees to go to the feds for coverage. That coverage will be less than what they had from their employer. Then, with the cut in Medicare payments, many Dr.s will refuse to accept Medicare anymore. Where does that leave seniors? They will still have to pay an increased Medicare premiums, although the plan will be useless to them, and spend more money for another plan that doctors will accept.

Everyone should call or write their Liberal Dem. reprensitives and ask they if they will sign on to the new health care plan they are demanding we have. I bet the only answer you get will be silence. They will have an exemption for themselves. They can screw with you, but you leave them alone.

Your rightwing opinion is based on a "what if" scenario in which private companies decide to stop providing health insurance benefits and keep the money for their shareholders. Would you advocate penalizing for doing so without good reason? I plan to stay on my BC/BS plan as long as it's available.

A majority of Americans favor a public plan that is another option for them if they cannot get good private coverage. Pre-existing conditions are the main barrier to being denied private coverage. That's a fact, which you are free to reject. Doubting a poll's accuracy however, is what losers do when it doesn't fit their point of view.

the public option should be tied to mandatory service in the military or community service
they almost passed the original package that would allow the feds to audit every business and every
individual in the united states
they would have been able to incarcerate and fine anyone who didnt pay the premium
either look aroud you for a way to save money or
get out of the country
its that simple

standard answer from the congress
every time you demand services from the government expect a further reduction in your personal liberties and individual net worth

Is there something wrong with your cognitive abilities that you can't, or refuse to, understand the point I am trying to make? It's not about Pelosi's votes - you might be right that she can't line up the cowards in my party who refuse to acknowledge what the majority of Americans want. Calling me names is not going to change that fact. Why such a bad mood today Peppy?

What loosers do is name call when they can't refute a point. I am trying to have an intelligent post with you. It has been said that Liberalism is a mental disorder. Stop prooving that with your "looser" comments.

I am not right wing, I am a realist. If a company can save 5-10% by paying a fine the will. Crazy not to.

Some kind of public option for people that can't get it through their employer is fine, as long as it doesn't mess with others who already have it. The Libs bill messes with the whole private system, dismanteling it. Ruining it. I stand by my previous post.

Not really in a bad mood (at least I don't think so).

If calling you bogus offends you then I apologize. It is rather lame compared to the stuff you typically get and dish out.

In reality, I have seen to many contradicting polls to believe your numbers on absolute terms. Poll results can vary by how the question is posed and how the sampling is done. I truly do not believe more than 50% of Americans want gov't run healthcare.

You think otherwise and that's okay, it is normal for us to disagree.

Good, glad there's nothing eating at you. But if you go to the website for the Washington Post/ABC News pollsters, you will see the results of the 10/19 poll that shows 57% of Americans in favor of a public option. I suspect that far fewer would want ONLY a public plan, but there's no denying that there is fairly broadbased support for a public alternative to private health insurance.

The stupidity of the liberals on this issue is mind bending. Once again our politicians have failed us in spectacular fashion. This proposal will make health care worse and there is no cogent plan to pay the 1 trillion + that this will cost. A complete disaster. The corporations are gleeful as they will all get to drop their plans and force the sheeple into the government system. Meanwhile the government can't run anything and the sheeple have stupidly acquiesced to the destruction of their own health care. The middle class will once again get drilled to pay for this. And the politicians continue to lie and spin.

BINGO , well put. This plan is destine to fail, with more loop-holes than your Xmass lights you put away last season. The Canadian system is failing and their health dept. head has even admited the need for private ins. companies to return cause the system is imploding. I have college friends there that are watching and warning me. From your everyday life just ask yourself "how and the heck" and where is the money going to come from to support this system. This whole issue could have been settled in one week and "every american " would have supported it. Give us the same "health care plan " that our congress has --Somehow i hear silence from the likes of Pelosie and Reid ??????????

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
