Has anyone out there experienced the date from H311? I joined the Match site, answered an add that a local guy I recognized on this site had posted, went out with this individual and couldn't wait for the evening to end. I'm still reeling from the lies I discovered he had told in his post on this site. Won't be going out with this guy again, needless to say. Am wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing from people who post on the dating sites? Does everyone lie on these sites?

Does anyone use these dating sites? I did a search on topix and this was the only one that popped up. The op did not get any responses, so it must not be popular. Looks like the op was a woman. I figured someone would have commented.

These dating services are a waste of money. I am convinced that most of the profiles are false or outdated. I used to belong to some of them, and I got almost NO replies at all. Either the names were false or none of the women to whom I wrote even had the courtesy to write back and say "buzz off" or "not interested". The very few that did answer were usually much younger than me, and lived far away. The very few IM's I got all asked for a Yahoo address to talk off site.
Take my advice people. Anybody that seems too good to be true ---IS!!! I got burned once by a young female that seemed sincere. Only to find that all she wanted was money. Yes, I fell for her lies and false promises, but now I am educated. It'll never happen to me again.

SO, if your dream date is asking for an IM address off site, or your personal e mail or phone number, DO NOT give them until you have personally met mister or miss wonderful. Especially DO NOT give out any personal information or your address. Always make the first meeting in a public place, never at your home.
If mister or miss wonderful won't meet in a public place, or insists that things are easier with your giving out your personal information, especially if you're asked for money, RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!

And do not trust any pictures you are sent. That is one reason you need to meet in person first. Anybody can use any picture and say it's theirs., and it could be completely false. And remember that any pictures you send can be used by anybody for their own purposes.

A lady out west met a serial killer from Arizona he stabbed her like 15 times til knife blade broke. Later did she and police discover that this guy had killed his wife and others and lied on date site. Was a wanted serial killer. So are date sites really worth it. And if I remember right the date site was christian mingle or match.com

From a womans point of view DO NOT USE AN ONLINE Dating Site. Most of the men on there are controllers, losers, sociopaths, or after a one night one stand. I thought I would give it a try because I am recently divorced, and I was wanting to meet a nice man. Not one of them had any morals or Christian values. Therefore, I said the heck with this and I decided to join a local church!

I hope you did not use Master Spanker as your name. That could of been the reason why you didnt do so well.

No. I have a very different name I used on the dating sites. I use Master Spanker as an attention getter. See how well it works. However, you better be nice or you, too, can go OTK.

The way some of the scammers work is by signing up for a seven day trial period, and then posting a false profile. The then spend the entire time of the trial answering promising ads, hoping to get an answer. Then, when one does answer, they will promise undying love and devotion, forever. notwithstanding that they really have no idea if you're a match. However they will continue express how much you're loved and needed until you begin to respond and feel the love you're being fed. Then, she has just ONE little problem. It seems that some bill is due or she really needs something that only you can provide. Can you PLEAASE help me? I need just a little to tide me over. Or, I'm stranded someplace and need help getting home.
After all, I lost, was robbed, spent my return fare, or is just a little bit short because the airline raised the rates at the last minute. Maybe she has a hotel bill that she needs needs to be paid before she can come home, and has a kid that wants to come home.
RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! It's all a scam and any money you send will be lost forever.
After mister or miss wonderfull spends the entire trail period answering ads, their profile will be dropped because it's unpaid, and if you're in caught in the web of deceipt, you'll have no recourse at all to claim that you were defrauded.

I was moving some boxes of very old stuff and found a print out of a biorhythm matching project they did during high school. This was my first introduction to a dating service. The print out listed the top ones that matched your questionnaire. Anyone remember these?
