What a totally assinine ban !!!
Only a complete absence of brains could push something like this on the citizens.
What next ? Toe deodorant in summer required ? How about cooling fans to prevent hot air from politicians melting us ? That would be usful.

Does this mean the car wash at the gas station will be shut down?
Sounds like a political tantrum to me. How are they going to police this law? Do you call the police and say "hurry! come quick! My neighbor is washing their car!!" Are they going to hire more officers for this?

Can't you be ticketed for having an excessivly dirty car? Which is how everyone's car will be if we can't wash it. Unless of course everyone organizes neighborhood wide car wash parties when it rains. We could wait for a good storm, and grab our sponges, no need to worry about the car drying or using soap.

What a waste of taxpayers money.

The environment is an issue that effects each of us. Think about the crud sitting on your car. Do you really want that, mixed with chemicals running directly into our ground water. Our water now contains Rx. drugs and toxins at levels never seen before. If we can put up with a little extra expense and use a commercial car wash that recycles the water and reuses it, then we should. It is like using more productive electronics, gas saving cars etc. We must do what we can.
