There will always be pros and cons to any high profile decision regarding this fine town. What you must look at is the future. Is there more chance for prosperity with an improved industrial site or a light commercial site? Will Camas prove to be a desired industrial location or more of a highly prized commercial and retail center? If one looks at the demagraphics of this region and the way that Vancouver is growing alongside Portland, I think it will become clear that there is a whole lot more upshot with a thoughtfully constructed commercial-retail center than that of an increased industrial center. If this is still not clear to you- is the paper mill growing or getting smaller?
