Same propaganda as when Verizon wanted to sell off it's New England landlines to Fairpoint. When the public advocates and unions brought up the troubles and pending bankrupsy at Hawaii Telecom, Verizon and Fairpoint, with their lobbying/PR machine greasing the wheels, fell all over themselves to reassure the PUC's that this was different, this would never happen, they were much better prepared and had a plan. While Fairpoint is a month away from bankruptcy, and already bankrupt Hawaii Telecom is being haggled over by its creditors, Verizon walks away once again with another tax free multibillion dollar deal through a "Reverse Morris Trust". Don't buy into the BS.
