Salinas murder rate on upswing

Ive said it before and I will say it again...

While the City of Salinas considers a crack-down on people who take shopping carts from stores, the community is under attack from those promoting street violence...

Now it's spreading from "normal" area's..It will be interesting to see what the people in the "abnormal" areas will do to stop it..

7 murders to date in Salinas..1, a domestic and the other 6, seemingly gang related..
Salinas has become the Fresno of the California coast..

Growing up in Pacific Grove and Monterey, I recall gassing up grandad's old car and driving to Salinas on Friday evenings to shop at Sears/Roebuck..We never saw a gang member..Alisal was where the cowboys would get drunk and fight each other..Good people stayed out of Alisal...

On the way home we would stop along the road and cut a head of lettuce from a field..The farmer had a sign asking that visitors go no further than the first 2 rows into his field..I dont think anyone ever did..Now, he would be shot if he confronted the wrong people taking lettuce from 6 rows in..

Say what you will about who's to blame and how Salinas got to be like this but..I'm glad I'm not there anymore to see it daily...

I Am Hartnell Student Who Lives In Salinas And I've Had 2 Shootings On My Street And I Live Right Next To Hartnell. I've Seen The Street Violence Rise And Even Witnessed It. South Salinas Used To Be A Little Safer Then East Salinas Be It's Fast Becoming Unsafe.

Judicial punishment system is insufficiently qualified of performing . The government highly was expenses yearly to maintain order; evidently, the citizens find themselves equivalently or even more harmful than before once the convicts are released. The legislative division must act on be, lowering prison paradise livings which will deduce taxes expenses and demands for the unworthy convicts that should be condemned liberally. The system is broken because we spoil the undeserving(s).

I have lived in salinas for 17 years, never knew about violence. it was never around when i was young in salinas. but only recently i learned that the east side of salinas used to be a beautiful place but is now overcome with aliens and killings every night nothing but that. we moved to creekbridge where we assumed was a great safe place to live, but in the last MONTH there has been a janitor shot at a elementary school, a person found dead on a grass place and just to day RIGHT in front of my house a man was shot multiple times just from riding his bicycle, how incredible is that. nothing good will come from this town any longer, so sad..

I always hear "Oh, it's only on the east side" Bull Sh(t, It is all over the crime infested city of Salinas!
