What can we do to make kids realize the consequences of having unprotected sex? They clearly aren't getting it

Drive them around the old Gilbertsville slums and say this is your future when you have a baby as a young teen... That would scare me..

how about we give them something else to do, along with home discussions or school disussions some parents are not in the position to really have that disussion .. but as i said unless your in a church group, sports group, cheerleader, or what ever (to each their own) just what is it a child or anyone is to do here?? Same with roaming the streets robbing homes , stealing, vandalizing, and riding 4 wheelers where they shouldnt be, just what is it they should do.. WE need more things in calvert and I dont mean churches. Oh and roll models of some sort like i said some parent here even need them and better training themselves.

hate to tell you but most of the kids in sports groups and the cheerleaders are most of the sluts they just know how to put on a show

Look kids are going to have sex no matter what you tell them. Instead of completely being against it start encouraging them to use protection. Most kids only do it because their parents tell them not to so just tell them if they are going to do it to be safe about it. I'm a 16 year old girl and I mean it's inevitable were gonna have sex.

Everybody says you shouldn't have sex before marriage (which is what I follow), but how many of you adults actually waited? I mean seriously. Don't be a hypocrite and tell your kids not to do something you did. I personally hate hypocrites. The only reason I'm waiting is because I'm in church and I don't want to ruin my life by having a kid in high school.

Hey, that one kid, i love how your singling out one paticular group, cheerleaders. So what there a cheerleader, doesnt mean there "sluts" like you say. Cheerleaders show a sence of pride, and the cheerleaders are a good group of girls who are pretty good role models for the most part. So dont single out on one group. Kids are gonna have sex, its human nature, its how the parents are involved on when and how the teenagers will do that. So get involved and discuss it with your own kids and stop complaining on topix about it. Instead of being on here, you could be talking to your kid about it.
