People in Piedmont are reacting to the arrest of 31-year-old Steven Cardenas; better known as Coach Cardenas.

What a sick bastard! Accusations are not made randomly. He had to have done something to merit a suspicion of such allegations.

I don't know the facts or details concerning this one particular case, but your statement is blatantly foolish. People, kids included, make false allegations of this nature all the time. And NO, he didn't necessarily have to have done something to merit this kind of reaction. Sex crime allegations have become the modern day witch hunt of the 21st century. Not all are guilty, and not all are innocent. Just as there really were some real witches burned at the stake in the 17th century, there really ARE some perverts getting caught. This guy may or may not be one of them.

But to say that this guy just has to be guilty because there is absolutely no other way he would get charged is simply ludicrous. Especially since the allegations so far only include ONE student. Police do the best job they can in situations like this and sometimes they feel the need to err or the side of caution and hold the guy until they get more to go on. For all they know, he could take off, never to be seen again. When it comes to a sex crime allegation against a kid, all that is needed for the D.A to issue an arrest warrant is a statement from the kid. We have a knee jerk society when it comes to these kinds of things.

I choose to wait until more info. comes out on this case before plastering a slanderous opinion of the guy all over the f-ing world wide web.
