I was just wondering. Could this insane world of so-called human beings get any more stupid, brutish and pointless?

help us, help our children, help ourselves ...
Surely glad we aren't one of those ignorant, primitive countries we see on TV.

So tragic and senseless. All these shootings. All these young people cut down for no reason whatsoever. Where are you, civil rights leaders? Not enough tv cameras to catch your attention? And, it matters not if the victims are black, brown, white, pink, whatever.

Those suburbs are an extention of Chicago. You can not expect any civilized behavior their.
HA HA HA. One day society will come together and order serious felons to live in a seperate state for just serious felons. There is no room for them in our neighborhoods. Their we can let them do what they want and they will end up killing one another.

Are you speaking of just the criminals in these towns or ALL of the citizens? You don't seem to be making a distinction. Because I'm sure you know that ALL of the residents of "those suburbs" are not "serious felons", right? Actually, it's not even most of them.

No mention of the ages of the perps, but if they are teen-agers, expect them to get short sentences and be out on the streets again in three years to pop some other innocent.
It's standard practice for the gangs in our neighborhood to use younger kids to do the shootings, knowing that they will get off lightly. What a world which we, collectively, have made for ourselves.

I know lets shot the seven and then cane both parents in front of them..
That way if you do a crime your family suffers for it too.

Remember .. guns don't kill people. People with guns kill people. Let's just hope the gun lovers keep up their efforts so that more of this can take place while we all wave the flag and trumpet our constitutional right to own a gun. I feel so safe to be in this country right now. Thank you, gun lovers! Another of our children is dead. What is your quota for November?

I was born in Harvey and raised in Calumet City. Yes, those suburbs have changed (Harvey, from when my mom was little and Cal City, from when I was little)...but not all people living in those suburbs are degenerates. My parents still live in Calumet City because they can't afford to move anywhere safer...as the neighborhood gets worse, the values keep decreasing for them and surrounding "nice" areas keep increasing. It is such a shame...

All seven of these guys are not bad people. They have had terrible home lives. They are victims of their surrondings. They have been trying to change thier lives; pull themselves up. Blame their parents. they're the real felons. Now that this has been stated fully, all the social ills cry babies may shut up. Thank-you.

Let us start by hauling parents into court to explain their kids behavior. This has to be done at the earliest sign of trouble. Parents that refuse to control their children should be jailed, along with the kids. If this does not work life sentences should be handed out. Remember most of these really violent gangs are Latino. There is no excuse for this animalistic conduct. If you wait, MS 13 and other gangs will rule your towns. The local police cannot handle this stuff. They will not even pull Latinos over anymore except for the worst violations because they do not want to spend two hours of their time processing an illegal. This of course tells the illegal they can do most anything they want, blowing stop signs, lights, speeding, DUI, ect. But if they try to harm me or mine, they are going to start DYING. I and my family have guns and we can use them, not as the stupid gangbangers, but as well trained shooters. Also remember this garbage causes irreparable harm to honest Latinos that are labeled along with the scum. You honest Latinos better wake up. Silence gives consent.
Well said. Look at the suburbs of Paris,France this morning. Two teenage troublemakers killed while joyriding on a motorbike. They had no licenses and no insurance.(Gee, WHO does that sound like?) They ran a stop sign (sound Familiar?) and broadsided a police car. There have been riots in the Paris suburbs for two days running over this. The low-lifes and the gangbangers blaming the POLICE. And Shooting at them with rifles used to hunt big game. And just WHO are these "disaffected youth"? Arab and African.

What IS it that in minority communities PARENTS cannot control their children? They blame everyone else but themselves. In my town, if the young chicas got up off of their rear ends and turned off the telenovelas and started intereacting with their kids, fewer would be in gangs.

As old man Daley said years ago,"Shoot to kill anyone rioting or with a molotov cocktail in his hand". Good advice then, good advice now. Are we going to wait until certain suburbs and parts of the city become like the Paris situation where entire areas are police "no go" zones?

Gangs are a criminal enterprise. They need to be outlawed. Period.

I'm with you on that. Being born poor was not so bad, because you can still be raised with morals and values. Get an education and the money will follow. Hang them all. The police should start shooting them first and damn what the parents have to say. If the kid was so good, he would have been at home. FED UP

Watch carefully as this case goes through our legal system. One factor in the proliferation of these gang hits is that the offender(s) typically are not punished commensurate with the crime.

It's past hope for the parents of these thugs to make a difference. Today's hoods are the offspring of the original gang bangers. Drugs, violence and felony crimes are a staple in their world.
