In case you are approached by one of the latest section 8 tenants in the neigborhood wanting to sell their food stamps to you there is a number you can report this for as fraud. 1-800-678-5465. They try to tell you this is a good deal but really, the hardworking, taxed to death already, paycheck to paycheck citizens have already paid for this subsidy. I myself have fallen on hard times once and made the humiliating journey to the public aid office too. I was on it for one month, not a lifetime. If I only could get free food, turn a profit on it and have a live in boyfriend/baby daddy then I too could have a new hairstyle each week, the untouchable manicure, and all the gold jewelery that goes with it. Well, you can't have everything but if my new section 8 neighbors could please put the kids to bed before 2am, turn down the music, stop fighting, and put the liquor bottles in the dumpster rather than beside life would be alot easier.

yeah and look out cause this is the first of the month they will be out in masses (wearing their pajamas and slippers) they get their cards recharged. I stay out of the grocery stores at all cost cause I get so pissed seeing them buying shrimp, lobster, and steaks. while I am scraping to by ground beef.

Section 8 housing needs to cease in this town. I think we have our quota...

Believe it or not, this is the new Lansing in a nutshell. I have seen it happen in Calumet City of course and other places. I have promised myself time and time again never to go to Ultra. Coincidentally, the last time I was there I was behind a lady wearing the pajama pants at two in the afternoon with her card. It just makes me mad that this woman said "what's wrong with selling stamps so I get my drink on". The way some of the people actually brag about having section 8 like they're proud is insulting.

no not a lie-- people now ( not all ) but most are not bothered by public ass. used to be we were embarased to be on stamps now its a career, and people study ways to keep that check and stamps comming, and it just goes from generation to generation. my mother age 74 checked on them as shes living on fixed income after working all her life and she couldn get but 22 dollars so we let them keep them. before i moved back to tenn where i lived in a trailor park and people i didnt know would knock on my door and try and sell theres.also clothes with tags still on. just a little sugestion if all the people would put as much thought and work into a real job maybe you wouldnt need public ass.

you act as if all section 8 tenants are this way yeah is a shame the abuse of the help the government offers but not all recipients abuse the system and not all are low lives you keep referring these people as section 8 neighbors instead of just neighbors makes it seem as if you have a problem with section 8 recipients period

I know section 8 tenants that are very clean and all don't receive stamps and some who actually have ben able to get ahead and buy there own home because of the help of these government assistant programs do not all are as bad as you make them seem some abuse it while others actually make use of it
