North Branch Lutheran church fights to leave national organization
They had joined a new national organization, undertaken several renovation projects at Grace's North Branch home and were preparing for a visit from a potential new pastor.

Why would ELCA want to keep a church which does want them? There is only one logical reason. That is money. This is similar to the Episcopal church who takes the congregation of departing congregations. Then they sell the property to anyone who will buy them, regardless the loss. The only exception is that they will not sell or undersell the property to the departing congregation which had paid for it and maintained it. How Christlike.
The only other reason, which is not logical, even though possible, is that ELCA likes to make people miserable through such power plays. It must make them happy in some twisted way.
It is amazing that the denominations who boast of being inclusive are so very cruel to those who do not want to be included.

In an era where we are fighting bulling it seems to me that this New York Bishop has become a poster child for religious bulling.
