Teen inspiration for 'Abraham's Law' turns 18

Starchild Abraham Cherrix had plenty of reason to celebrate his 18th birthday Friday: He says his latest blood results show no signs of the Hodgkin's disease he's battled since 2005.

Hope Abraham keeps us informed on his Hoxsey treatment.
Henry Hoxsey seemed to be onto something before the govt put him out of business.
Drink a toast to Abraham.

Congrats to Abraham! It's nice to see that there are alternatives out there to paying astronomical hospital bills.

He proves that general medicine isn't always the best way to treat an illness. While I don't know Abraham or his family, I am proud of their accomplishments! It's great to see someone, even a teen, fight for their right to make their own choices! I hope that he lives the rest of his life to it's fullest, and healthiest, potential. Congrats Cherrix family!

Congrats to Abraham for fighting to do it his way and a civilized judge. If the state had had its way, he'd have been dead long ago.

Congrats to Abraham on his 18th birthday. If the chemo dr. had had her way, he would have been dead long ago.

And I'm going to say it again ...
His parents should be put on trial for attempted murder. Murder if/when he dies.
Untreated Hodgkins takes an average of 7 years to kill a patient.
Hodkgins is a highly cureable cancer. Patients with recurrent Hodgkins have 50/50 odds.
The best thing he could have done back then was to finish the chemo and do the radiation.
He didn't. He did radiation only. Maybe he will get lucky with the radiation alone - but that was not his best option.
He's 18 now and he's free to make any choice he wants.
His parents belong in jail.
