Officials closer to replacing toppled Confederate soldier

Almost a year after an errant driver toppled a statue of a Confederate soldier in front of the Franklin County Courthouse, officials are a few steps closer to replacing the statue.

This would have been a good opportunity for the politically correct crowd to raise a fuss and claim they are offended by the decision to replace the statue. It's good that common sense prevails and this piece of history - and American art - will be returning.
