This is comment #165. Just marking it to see if it's deleted. It is spam. It contributes nothing to the discussion. It is, like all their other posts, nothing but personal attack and invective.

Becky's quote "At least I have a bachelors degree from college and a certificate, and a graduate degree. Oh, and I did it while I was on welfare too!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" Why are you disparaging people without a college degree? It seems a little elitist.

Just imagine: "Amsterdam-by-the-sea " - I bet the City Council & Chamber of Commerce will drop a few million into the right advertising campaign, too. You really don't expect the Soviet Socialist Republic of Santa Cruz to allow anything so democratic, do you? Besides, they don't want that kind of business and those kind of people. They've made it abundantly clear they are totally, unequivocally opposed to marijuana, medical or otherwise. And they think medical marijuana patients should sit home all day and never go anywhere or do anything - and especially not to city council meetings, or the library, or the parks. They obviously think the sick and dying should spend there time isolated and alone, and believe the faster they are dead the better.

LURKER WRITES: "Why are you disparaging people without a college degree? It seems a little elitist."
BECKY: The question you should be asking is why am I being disparaged for not having ENOUGH college by people who have obviously far less education than me?

BECKY: Correction, my POOR PAY is the result of decisions made by the SCHOOL BOARD FOR SANTA CRUZ CITY SCHOOLS. I am not "responsible" for my low pay an no benefits. I went to college and graduate school. I took and passed the NTE with flying colors! I have been cleared by a DOJ background check and have filed my fingerprints with the State of California THREE TIMES.
And, even if I do somehow manage to get my cleared credential, it doesn't alter the fact that the 1,000 substitute teachers in Santa Cruz County are all grossly underpaid and its an insult to teachers that subs are paid such shockingly low wages. As long as the injustice is still occurring, don't expect me to stop speaking out against it.
And DAN, since you support the low wages, you are one of the culprits. That you have used my statements made in this forum to organize a campaign to get me fired, you really are a bully.

YOU are RESPONSIBLE for the FACT that you have done NOTHING to get them up to date.!!!!!!Did you think the man-in-the-moon was going to get them for you???????? Becky Johnson wrote: BECKY: The question you should be asking is why am I being disparaged for not having ENOUGH college by people who have obviously far less education than me? That's a good one. Yes BECKY, people who can catch your careless math mistakes are "obviously less educated than" you. This is what it's all about for you. You are embarrassed by the fact I catch you in so many mistakes, falsehoods, and lies. So you're TRYING to make me out to be less educated than you. But Becky, wouldn't that be an even larger embarrassment for YOU if I was less educated than you? Most people would prefer to be bested by a person of superior intellect. But then again you "prove" your points backwards, as was proven in your recent benefits comment.

The question I asked is why are you picking on those without a college degree? If someone else is disparaging you it is between you and them. I commented on your attitude towards people without a college education. Do you feel better about yourself when you make fun of those who did not make it to college? It would seem that the expense of your education was a bit of a waste considering the use you have made of it. You are educated beyond your intelligence.

FWIW, the stupidest person I've ever known had a degree from UCLA. Given what she writes, Becky has no standing to criticize ANYONE. (Note to Lurker - she may have received degrees/certificates, but (sadly) she's not 'educated' enough to understand the difference between a degree and a certificate.)

To the clowns who keep mentioning Marijuana and how wrong it is for kids . Well , i agree but , either you work at a Drug store passing out drugs , in a restaurant selling alcohol or in a store selling cigarettes . These are the real drugs that do damage to society and kill more people than all drugs combined . Marijuana kills no one so , let's have you talk about the legal drugs that are available today and not about a plant that causes no harm .Oh , i get it .....marijuana will cut down on your business . Is that it ?!!

CRAIG WRITES: "So you're TRYING to make me out to be less educated than you."
BECKY: You either have a college degree or you don't. I find it highly ironic that you come in here repeatedly chastizing me for not getting my 2nd post-graduate degree when you aren't even a college graduate. And I got my degree while I was a single mom with three little kids while on welfare, so it wasn't exactly a silver spoon like RYAN got.
