Interested to know of any big local events or competitions happening in salton city. can anybody help me out.

Best thing I can think of is the Salton Sea Boat Races on December 5, 6 & 7 at North Shores.
It's not like the races in the sixties in Salton City (carried on National TV), but at least it is bringing back record breaking boat racing to the Salton Sea!!
Similar events will put the Sea back on National TV, just like it was in the sixties (and maybe make California realize that this is a viable recreational area)!
OUR WATER DOES NOT BELONG TO SAN DIEGO!!!!
