Hilarious. The removal of Sunday alcohol laws pulled our morality into the 20th century. Legal pot in Georgia will become a faith issue fast. It will also be protested by the infrastructure that supports prohibition.

I don't see this for 20 more years in Georgia.

I live in this retard filled, racist, bible thumping cesspool of a state and let me reassure you that logic does not prevail in the south. It'll be 10 years before that even become a discussion....in the meanwhile backward idiot places like Georgia, already being abandoned by all who have the ability, will just become even more unattractive. Why live here and smoke weed and risk prison over an ounce when it's a $150 ticket in many states and legal in 2? The only way it will change quicker is if the sane northerners keep invading Atlanta and pushing the stupids farther out.

I think it's in the Book of Antiquities by Josephus that Jesus is described as a teenager. At one point he injured his ankle and chewed hashish to dull the pain, a common remedy in that time.

I would like to see marijuana decriminalized here too..however, it should also be taxed with oversight-just like alcohol and tobacco. Make marijuana users pay their fair share.

Revelation 22:2 " the river of life proceeded to flow from the throne of God, and on either side of the bank there was the tree of life, and the leaf from that tree is for the healing of the nations."

Psalms 104:14 "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man."

Genesis 3:18 "... thou shalt eat the herb of the field."

whether someone believe using marijuana is good or bad.. why wasted our tax dollars throwing someone in jail over a non violent drug like marijuana. A waste of police resources, jail space and taxes. Our jails are overcrowded already!

Georgia passed a medical marijuana law (on the books) 30 years ago! IT's still there!

Oh I'd love to know the details on that one. But I seriously doubt it has any teeth. Just having the stuff in Georgia can get you arrested. If you have more than an ounce it's a felony.

Yep,and getting caught in a random pee test at work will get you fired with a DRD on your records. You still get a DUI if an officer has you tested and there goes your insurance rates. Legalizing for simple possession won't change that.

But,but Colorado just passed all those new anti-gun and pro-pot laws. The laws the liberals wanted were passed, what happened?

Sure will, and felony convictions in Georgia will prevent you from voting, legally owning a gun, etc. Think before you toke.

Over 800,000+ people (mostly black and latino) were arrested last year for marijuana. Over a trillion tax dollars wasted on the failed drug war. When will the politicians listen to the will of the people?
