Does any one think about how much it cost when a girl has a baby with out a husband? From the pre-natal care, doctor visits, hospital cost, doctors cost, the hospital bill. Then its WIC,food stamps and of course a check for the bundle of joy every month. And free health care until the child quits school, or gets pregnant themselves and the program starts all over again. If they knew they would be responsible for their children they might slow down.

It makes me so mad when I take my children to the doctor or dentist, and have to pay a huge co-pay. This is ofcourse after paying insurance premiums every month. Then a woman will bring 2 or 3 kids in there with teeth rotten from drinking so much soda pop and eatting junk.It cost her NOTHING.All these freebies should be stopped. If you want a child,PAY THE BILLS.Then if you want to have expensive dental work for your children, get on your feet and OFF YOUR BACKS.GET A JOB, or STOP REPRODUCING.If your children are raised on welfare most likely that is the way they will want to live. And they will start having you a few illigitiment grand kids. But i am sure you will be so proud.

It seems no one has any pride these days. When i was growing up my parents taught all of us, if you want something, you pay for it.And these are the same standards we used with our children. And it has worked fine. WE never were on welfare growing up and niether were our kids, or grandkids. This is just another example of the goverment taking working peoples tax dollars to pay for things other people want but can not afford. If i want a new car or boat i can not expect the goverment to take working peoples tax money to provide me with these things. I feel like the same is true with a family. You do not work for it, you can not have it.Im sure if we added up all the cost involved with having a child(as Sandy stated)we would all be surprised.

This is an interesting thread. And so true.I would imagine a lot of people would be surprised to know how much an illigitiment child does cost tax payers.Hard working people with morals pay their bills. This includes ofcourse their children.People should only have has many children as they can afford. And this should start with day one.

Ya'll are only seeing half the picture. Lets not forget the illegals that come to USA and have these kids and get better health care than we taxpayers receive. I'm just glad that my hard earned money (taxes on every damn thing you buy) goes to the future welfare babies. You're welcome crakheads.

You don't have to be an unwed mother to recieve all of these benefits. You can be married and both parents can work. It only matters what your family's income is. There are some people that really need and deserve it but the majority that are Mexicans and unwed mothers do not. The system gets abused just like all the other government programs.

I am talking about ALL of them.Tax money should not go to pay for any bodys illigitiment kids,or married peoples kids,or an illegall having any kind of problem.People should take care of them selves and their own.And that is all.

Yes there are people that need and deserve help. Americans that have worked and paid taxes. An illegal ofcourse has not contributed to this country, and any 15 or 16 year old girl has not either. If she wants to be mommie and her parents want to be grandparents then step up to the plate to pay.

I have used WIC and Medicaid for my child. I could have afforded it but I qualified so I used it. I pay taxes and if I didn't use it, the Mexican's still would have. I don't agree that it's a good system but it sure was good for me.

My mom was 16 when she had me, and she worked and finished school. We lived with my grandparents who also worked hard, but thanks to taxpayers money she was able to give us both a good life. It's easy for you to talk when you are obviously privilaged enough to not need assistance. Too bad everyone can't be perfect like you Cassie

Hey waterduck maybe your momma should've had an abortion so you wouldn't be whinning on this web site. So what, nobody cares when your momma whored herself out to have you. Sounds like she made some poor choices in life. Probably the biggest one was to have you.

Rufus, it's sad you would get on here and talk to someone like that. Seems like your mom would have taught you better than that. Your a disease to forums like this.

We need to make this issue illegal or a crime for placing the burden on us tax payers.

It's ok. I'm sure Rufus is either a kid, or just a sad pathetic person, that comes on this forum just to try to piss people off. So don't whine about people "whining" about serious topics if you have nothing intelligent to say.

Thanks but I wasn't illegitimate either. And neither are my children. My mother worked hard, and taught me the same. By the time I was 16 my parents made good money on their own, and taught me responsibility. That's why I didn't end up a pregnant teenager. I've been married for 10 yrs and we work hard also. You may be proud, but you're also hateful.
