SPLOT that was just voted!!!

City taxpayers did you know that when we voted for the SPLOT and hopes of improvements to our city rec.....WRONG some of the monies are going to FIELDS FERRY!!! New greens to make Harold's job easier and so he can ge back in his office with his feet kicked up!! Get up Harold and do your job.....heard all summer long that the heat got the greens?!?! Why did the Elks keeps theres and never lose them???? It called hard labor and WORK!!!! Elks doesn't have the $$ nor the crew like you have and look at what they did.

Hope we are happy we voted for Fields Ferry to have green and taking money away from something that would benefit our KIDS!!! The kids need a updated recreation department and something they would be proud of!!! Guess the golf is a better way of spending the money!! NOT!!

Has the city ever thought about talking to the head guy at the elks to see if he would come out to fields and work and get the place in shape and NOT spend $250K on new greens!! I think he has proven HE CAN GROW GRASS!!!!!

I think it's great that we are finally putting money in the golf course not all kids play @ the rec some do like to play golf as well. It's alot better to spend money there then on stupid sidewalks on dewspond rd that just got tore up soon after splost paid for them kinda like the tree from mars bet splost money paid for it to

Was really thinking that the recreation department would be getting the updates that they need. We are so far behind on the updating like all the rec centers in the surrounding counties. We can't even host tournaments like we should that would bring much needed revenue into this town. Never once when we were hearing about SPLOT did ANYONE say that part of the money would be going to golf course improvements!!! During the summer you couldn't find parking at the rec and you go out to fields ferry and they had plenty.

there is no such thing as a SPLOSH. now your post will look little more educated when you log on here behind your fake screen name and constantly gripe. and remember Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. SPLOST not SPLOSH.
