The "impressive list" of safety features for the Nissan Cube mean nothing when it meets a truck. Condolences to the families of those involved in this tragic accident.

i worked with all three of these ladies at one time. i ask that everyone please pray for their families as well as their work family. They all worked for Mays Home Health in Durant. The ladies in that office are one big family. Thank you for your prayers.

Billie Bartholomew Thrasher grew up in Colbert, OK. She will be greatly missed. After many years, I was able to reconnect with her through facebook after a conversation with our dear friend Terri. I was thrilled and so was Billie. Thank you Terri for the short time we were able to communicate again. We even laughed because we sat together every day on the school bus.
Billie, we all love you and this is a very very sad loss...

Tragic loss for the families. I can't help wondering, why? the pick-up driver didn't indicate that he was going to turn , the question is "Was he on a cell phone, or some other big distraction?

I drive this path every week and I can recall times of dodging the locals. Many people become so used to their local paths that they forget safety. Drivers are always told that most wrecks happen close to home .

'most wrecks happen close to home" Why?
Well, because that is where you drive the most.

I didn't know anyone in the car other than Amy. Her Maiden name was Hunt. I was her very best friend for years when I lived in Texas. found out about this from a mutual friend in Texas. I am heartbroken beyond words as she has two young sons who will in time forget her because they are so young. My heart is especially going out to the family. Her mother loves Amy so much I do not know if she will survive this. I'm hugging you right now Betty Hunt. I know this is awful but your grandchildren need you. You knew me as Shelly Anstrom. I have since changed my first name just incase you are reading this. I am shattered right now.
