Gas price goof at Kentwood station

so how come if the price of oil was 50% less a year ago we weren't paying $1.90 instead of $2.90?

Well, considering they (big oil) keep telling us that the cost are rising because of demand, and the fact that demand HAS gone down, yet prices still rise, what do you think. They also calim to make only a penny per gallon of gas, yet rake in BILLIONS of dollars in profit? Something doesn't add up. Free enterprsie and all aside, this is out right gouging. Getting drilled in congress is not going to help any of us. The congressmen do this to make it look as though they care. I bet every one of them recieves funds from big oil. Why would they bite the hand that feeds them?
