I met a couple of AF guys at a party, it seems Air force research laboratory general Bedke has authorized a field trip (5 days) for 40 air force cadets, civilian employees and contractors to Gettysburg. These cadets will be on temporary duty and will receive $103 for lodging 54for meals 157 total PER DAY!!!
It figures the air force would send troops there. The last time a bullet was fired in gettysburg was 140+ years ago:)

This is a true story.

my son is on his 3rd tour in Iraq. I can't believe that the Air Force is sending people on vacation in this economy. If this waste of money upsets you as much as me call your congressman.

I just sent a letter to general curtis M. Bedke of AFRL asking him if it is warranted sending people on vacation with government dollars.

Well, I check and you are right!!! Check out this web site. I should have joined the Air Force! I did two tours in the war zone and I'm getting ready for a 3rd. Why would General Curtis M. Bedke of AFRL sanction this? How can he justify sending Air Force cadets to Gettysburg for a week, while the rest of us are fighting a war? Besides that, how can we afford to do this in these times? where is the money coming from?

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Pisces

Someone is extremely headstrong and defiant today, and there's every chance that you're the one fitting this description. The more others are trying to make you behave yourself or do what they want, the more determined you'll be to do the exact opposite. Well, it is a Full Moon, and a lunar eclipse in emotional Cancer, so you're excused! Show them that you're an individual in your own right without going completely overboard about it, because that will cause trouble. Then once you've got all that off your chest you can relax and look forward to a really Happy New Year!
