Pretty sure this is the way to close the school down... Father's only concern is the church. PLEASE someone tell me I'm wrong...

Yes it's very sad.

The boyscout troop is gone not just the kids but the whole charter.

A church ministry that was there for over 40 years is now gone.

Did the girl scouts leave too? I didn't know about that.

It's all so unreal like a bad nightmare.

You 're wrong. Father Reardon has two concerns; money grubbing and finding a bible big enough to hide behind.

Many churches nationwide have disbanded both boy and girl scouts, partially due to controversial issues. For example, did you know that the Girl Scouts as an organization are big supporters of Planned Parenthood, and devote units to the founder, whose initial goal was to encourage abortions, particularly for minority races and ethnicities? The core values of Girl Scouts are contradictory to those of our church.

By the way, how did the big meeting go this week? Was good information disseminated? Please advise.

Yes, and there are priests who molest kids but still allowed to preach... Funny how things change in one area and not another. It looks like the church can get away with molesting kids with a slap on the wrist. Welcome to the 21st century that allows abortions and priest molesting kids. What a proud community this is! I'd rather support Girl Scouts anytime than molesting priests!

Who's assuming? I KNOW the Boy Scouts left on their own and took their charter to another CATHOLIC School.

I know the ministry left on their own.

I believe someone ASKED if the girl scouts left, also. There was no assuming.

So, are you saying the girl scouts are gone? Are you saying they were asked to leave by the archdiocese because of their views?

Specifically, what happened to the girl scout troop at St. Bruno's?

What big meeting?

The one they had in the morning for the second grade parents about the teacher situation? Yes, that's right in the morning so all the concerned parents couldn't show up because they have this little thing called WORK.

What a joke!

The leader of the younger Girl Scout troop left last year as her children are now at another school. It takes time to get other adults approved by Girl Scouts to run a troop. I don't believe they were asked to leave - they are simply needing to reorganize.

This was a response to this post!!! I said don't assume referring to what this post says "Girl Scouts as an organization are big supporters of Planned Parenthood, and devote units to the founder, whose initial goal was to encourage abortion"
If you read this post and the article you'd know what I was referring too!
I really don't care if this school/ church fails. My kids don't go there anymore. But saying that girls aren't at SBS because they support Planned Parenthood is wrong, girls scouts are no longer at SBS because of the craziness. PERIOD!

This was the post I was responding too:

It did take place in the morning. Class covered by vp.
The "teacher" out of the class. Why would you hold meetings during school hours?
It's Cuckoo Ville.

The game was good and both teams played real good. I'm not sure why our boys were told to "try and take out" the BOL players. My son told me this after the game. And to have one of our parents cursing, flipping the middle finger to the other team not too mention grabbing his privates to the other team just proves we could not choose who stayed at the school and who left. Many good families gone and bad ones still remain. I just hope we make it through the school year.

What about the parent who is in law enforcement? He was thrown out. What a proud example of humanity was displayed by those parents. Karma.
