County learned lesson in skipped call to coroner

How would a person go about finding out if the coroner was called on a death in the mid 70's? Does the death certificate tell that? And if a person finds a coroner was called, how would they go about getting a copy of the coroner's report that far back?

It's called a papertrail. This man went to prison for the one death, therefore, all the information (because of the court hearing)is on record somewhere.

Yes, I understand that; my mom remembers it very well.
I was hoping some one could tell me what all is on a death certificate from around that time & then the way to go about finding a possible coroner report, if still in existence. I have two death certificates from the early 1900's. On one the Dr. says "I saw him dead at" & gives date & time, etc. And of course the informant (a friend) is also listed. On the other one the Dr. writes "Death by Carbolic Acid" & also "I saw her dead at". And the informant is the sister.
More recent death certificates carry more information.
After reading this article, I realized I have a couple of relatives who died around this time frame & have not sent for their death certificates. One was questionable & the other was a truck wreck.
I was hoping some one knows what was put on death certificates around that time, and if a coroner was called "IF" it would be possible to chase down the report, or would it be attached??
Genealogy, the never ending mystery, lol.
