We hired them for a little over 10k to fix fire damage that happened to my home. Every day when I got home from work I smelled weed in the house. I caught them smoking one time and told them to take it outside.
They screwed up the fireplace, Did not do 75% of the job or done the 25% correctly. After discovering he got the WHOLE 10k+ from the mortgage company who was handling the payouts from the claim he never came back so I started looking around and found that he stole the following
Gold chain (nugget) 18k
Gold matching bracelet
pair of earrings with stones.
High blood pressure pills (alot of nerve)
Michael jackson memorabila
Never used Gas flaring kit
Post hole digger
Now, I want everyone in Cairo to know what he did because should you use them BE PREPARED. The owner of glens residential construction is Glen Kory (cory)(khourie) and his 10.00 an hour employee Dustin. They act during estimate that they are a company with a few employees but I noticed that for a couple of days it was just glen here. VERY BAD EXPIERENCE and would NOT recommend them to you at all. If you want to see the shady work they did feel free to drop me a email.
Glens construction is out of Bardwell KY.

He must take after his mothers side of the family because know his father's side and are hard, honest workers.

AND BTW his job is so bad that the fireplace already shows signs that its dropping. Dropped about 1 inch on 1 side already.

Why didn't you have to sign off on the work also? Checks are usually made out to you (the home owner) and the morgage co. This sounds strange, I'd check to make sure he didn't sign your name.

Insurance companies 99% of time will make checks out to the homeowner along with either morgage company or contractor. Never have heard of them making it out directly to contractor. If home is paid for will make it out to home owner alone but not just contractor.
Call IL Dept of Insurance

I have never heard of the Insurance Co. making a check out to the contractor only. It should have had your name on it and sent to you. You should never pay for the entire job up front!! If you got a written contract from the contractor and he did all of this!!!you need to go see the States attorney in your county. Also, I really hope the contractor paid for the material he used on your house, because you will be held accountable for paying for that too.
