The shythole of Cairo. It's one of those forbidden towns you just don't tell people about.

Cairo is not a "shythole" or "pathetic" as some of the posters here might believe. These kinds of descriptions say much more about the individuals posting them than the actual state of Cairo's well being. When you hate a town as long as these mistaken folks have hated Cairo, then your judgment is no longer credible. It becomes just a simple expression of hatred. These haters are the ones perhaps deserving some pity! Living with that much hatred is indeed pathetic. They should seek professional help in feeling better about themselves!

My previous post about haters needed to be said but it was not on topic enough, sorry. It does seem to be true that many Cairo newsworthy events, tragic or otherwise, are forgotten much much too quickly. Within days, important headlines are no longer pursued and further investigation halts. This is what has happened with the original shooting story just a day ago. KFVS12 today has nothing further to say. No follow-up. Does anyone have any idea at all on how to solve this lack of information problem? Is there a way to have citizens communicate safely in a rational way with one another? I'm convinced that many of us care very much. Maybe someone more technically savvy has an answer.

Thanks for getting back on topic. I was going to post that, while I agree with you about the haters, the topic here is someone was murdered and there is no info by the major news orgs.

Who owns the building there? Who was killed?

Everyone is alive and the building that the young man shot into was someones home. I am not sure what is going through the minds of our younger generation. Please say a prayer for them.

Say a prayer for them??

How about we all say a prayer for the rest of us. Sounds like he is safer in our town than we are.

WHAT are all of you talking about?
Someone committed suicide in Cairo?
Someone shot someone else in Cairo?
No shooting in Cairo, shooting somewhere else?
Here you all are bitching about lack of media info and police action, yet not one of you have said "WHAT" you are talking about. You gotta admit it just looks like fools griping about fools.
