As I always say, penalties for animal abuse need to be substantially increased and the law courts need to start reflect community sentiments. This kind of abuse is the sign of a disturbed person who is out there somewhere and possibly doing other damage to animals/people. Scum like that have to taken off the streets. They need to do time.

These kinds of stories just defy all sense of what makes some of us humane and some of us barely human. What kind of individual could do this to a helpless animal is not something that a normal person can wrap their head around. We can't make sense out of something that could never make sense.
I hope the proper authorities will take PROPER action and not just give this woman a slap on the wrist and a fine. She should do jail time. Too bad we don't have the pillory system of punishment these days so that she could be publicly chastised for this horrible injustice. For my part we could just starve her and throw her in the trash...sorry but this is truly how I feel.

Think of it this way Whistleblower, the person who dismembered that body probably starting dismembering animals. If anyone would've cared when he/she started on animals, then maybe there wouldn't be a dismembered body out there.

All I can say is that there is a VERY SPECIAL place in HELL for low lifes that are capable of doing this to a defenseless animal. I would love the exact same punishment be administered to her...EYE FOR AN EYE. I volunteer at the city shelter (past nine years) and I see a lot of AWFUL stuff but this by far is the worst. I have never sobbed more after watching the video. I pray Tommy gets the home of his dreams and that B$#%^% gets EVERYTHING she deserves and MORE.

Paper said she lives at 503 Mildred. I guess her boyfriend who sells drugs bailed her out. Since she was on facebook, I bet her computer is stolen.
It is a misdemenor and she'll get $100 fine. They should make her pay for all the vet bills and give her a fine and some time in jail.But that will not happen.

It's a very sad story, with a terriffic ending !! I'm so grateful, "our boys" put the owner where she needed to be .. It would have been nice to view the video on line as well ! Thanks for covering the story. we are "all" so grateful Tommy is ok, and will have love for the rest of his life !!!
