I used to attend the Abundant Love Church on Rt. 3. I went there for a few years. I was even baptized there. I miss going to that church. As far as I know, they are having mass in the grade school in Columbia. They are still waiting for the new building to be completed.

Why aren't they using the building on Rt 3. They weren't Catholic so why would they be having mass?

Last I heard Pastor Tim got remarried, and moved out of Cahokia I don't know if he is a pastor anywhere or not. Sorry. I did think the world of him though.

seems the new abundant love church sold their building and are moving south, following the money like most other "businesses". it's a shame that churches like them don't practice what they preach. jesus loves you, but i guess he loves wealthier white people more. lol.

I remember those ALF days, too. As far as I know, Pastor Tim is currently residing in Wentzville, MO. He does have the radio, too and doing really well. His wife just had brain surgery a couple of weeks ago and was doing so much better. I miss Laurie, though. I talk to the girls when I can...mostly Annie, because she's around more than anyone else. As far as the old building... I remember when it went up. I also remember where we were before that lol. Sad that they just can't get that one fixed. Last time I heard, it was falling apart on the inside.... *sighs*

curious...i was in that building about 1 1/2 years ago when a movie being filmed in this area used it as a staging area. we ate lunch and dinner there and used the parking lot to assemble and film part of the movie. it wasnt falling apart then. the movie by the way was the lucky ones starring tim robbins, michael pena and rachel mcadams. was a WHOLTE LOTTA FUN! hehe

Then, if it's still in good shape, why not stay there and use it? Why waste more money making a new place?:(

Pastor Tim is now currently campus Pastor at FCFC in Wentzville, Mo. He is for all I know doing quite well. His wife Sylvia is still in remission.
