Do you have homeowners insurance? If you do not, I don't feel the least bit sorry for you.

The Great 618 was just making a lighthearted comment. I am sure he had no idea about your particular situation.

Well like I said and the same to you Wa Wa...KARMA SUCKS....who would make a joke over people losing everything....To me thats not very funny and its not much diff then the people from Katrina or Texas.....Unless you have flood insurance thats the only way you are covered. And most people living in Cahokia unless you live by the levee would even be required to have it...Do you?

Ummm no you dont.......Its not required unless you live in a flood plane.....Your mortgage company tells you what coverage you need........and who would ever expect the sewers to bust........Not something that happens everyday now is it.

from what i see in the photo the street is flooded.i don't see your basement or any of your belongings. maybe next time the storm is coming you should move your things to higher ground. i have a cracked foundation but i have proper drainage. don't threaten me with karma.

This town is bullshit. If you have insurance and file a claim then you haven't paid the right type of insuance.
If they settle a claim then you get a fraction of the damaqe and then they charge you for that the next year for filing a claim..
I just finished cleaning my furnace and no doubt if there is a problem then they will deny the claim because it wasn't done by one of the people they recomend.
I have State Farm Ins. and at one time I trusted them but no more.

If you don't have flood insurance then my advice is to get it now before the Federal Government makes it mandatory, which they will be doing in the near future. And if you don't have it before then your rates will be threw the roof. As for the insurance company telling you what you need, sorry to tell you again but all the do "ADVISE" you of what they think you should have. Other then that it's totally up to you what is bought. Because if that was true I'd be covered for stuff that doesn't apply to us or our house, it's up to the home owner to decide what they want or need for coverage NOT the insurance company.

Like I said above it's up to the home owner to have all the correct coverage not the insurance company. As far as State Farm, we have NEVER had a problem w/our claims & our rate never went up when we made a claim in the 30yrs we've had them.

Sorry but your mortagage company only wants enough to cover your house to replace it if it's destroyed NOTHING more. IF you aren't smart enough to have additional coverage for for all the other things then YOU'RE the DUMBASS for not having it.

Move. Get out of the flood plain, especially the areas that actually flood when it rains.Prove to yourselves and your friends(if you have any), that your learning capability has evolved to the point that you now realize that it was a moronic, idiotic, grossly STUPID move to ever buy (assuming you have the ability to buy at all)in your marsh where you live at presently IN THE FIRST PLACE. Of course, you will have to find someone as stupid as you to buy the sinking Ark you currently occupy. This recommendation only applies to home owners. You renters who are whining are just plain shit for brains.

Do you think we can file a claim also?? How do I go about doing this? Maybe this is why all the water was coming off of kinder over here too.

You are for not having enough insurance to cover your loses. You do know insurance companies do h ave coverage for your problems, don't you???? And since you did lived in a flood plain at one time and your mortgage company made flood insurance mandatory then it goes back to what I have said "your mortagage company only wants enough to cover your house to replace it if it's destroyed NOTHING more". But I guess you NEVER have read your policy or any of the recommendations on upgrading your policy from your insurance company.

You have to go to the sewer company and ask them for a claim form. Its that simple.......
