The link above ran back in September in the BND. Wish more people would have read it then.

But I have a good one for you folks. Take a look at this - this is a link to Curtis McCall's campaign fund.

http://www.elections.state.il.us/CampaignDisc...

Please note the $15,000+ in donations from the Democratic Committee. I didn't know they supported third parties? I would have thought they would donate to a Democrat... After all, Curtis was running on the "Good Government" party of one. Not Democratic, that's for sure.

Also, note the big donation from Art Ryan, Superintendent of the Cahokia School District. It states $30,000 on the State of Illinois website. Hmmm - does Art Ryan personally have that type of money to donate $30,000 to a campaign? And, if it's not his personal money, where did it come from? The school district? Since when do we have any money to fund campaigns?

Now, granted that could very well be a typo - maybe it was $3000. But personally I don't care if it was $3 - no money from any school should be taken away from the schools and our kids and donated to any political campaign. EVER.

And there was no coercing or conflict of interest during the kid's "field trip" to the polls? Bullsh*t.

Are the puzzle pieces being put together yet folks? Are your eyes opening?

A convicted murderer, two voter fraud felons, a whole bunch of folks with records a mile long - those are the folks McCall associates with. That's who will be your next "officials". For goodness sakes, Bolden already holds a Precindt Committeeman title, along with the title CONVICTED MURDERER.

Is this really what you want for our town? You've got to be kidding me. If you voted for McCall you should be ashamed of yourself. He doesn't care an ounce about any of you. He's being used by the St. Clair County Board as a token to reel in your support gaining THEM more power and control. They're getting richer and taking it literally from you and your families mouths.

Please don't bother replying to me if you can't state your name. At least I have balls enough to stand up for what I believe and what I know is right...

Very good post Jessica. He isn't doing the black people any good. Look at the school system. It is about race anyway. It is not about who will do a better job. I do not understand why anyone would want their town to become like East St. Louis. Kern bought McCall to get the black voters. Why don't he put McCall in Belleville in a position? Because they don't want him. They sold Cahokia out. I did not vote for Kern and I will never vote for him. They sacrificed our town to get what they wanted. The black voters. And the funny thing is, they don't even like blacks. They are racists. Crooked politicians is what they are.

It is very true. They are trying to get the plantation politics going again at the level it was a few years ago. The folks who backed those guys AND Obama have no idea how much Obama hates that plantation politics stuff. He has been fighting it for decades. I know that for a fact. He would be very ashamed of his people in this area who keep falling for that crap.

The black people destroyed East St. Louis and Washington Park and they are now destroying Cahokia. Maybe we should have a list of rules for them. Get a job, don't have kids unless you are married, don't change your oil in the parking lots of businesses, do not rob and steal, don't throw trash out in the streets, quit selling drugs on the street corners, act like civilized human beings, pay your rent and bills on time, and conduct yourselves like people instead of savages.

I don't think I'm "throwing a temper tantrum" as one poster stated it...(or am I a wimp or hooker - I'd probably make more money if I was - LOL) I'm a mother of 4 sons and I work both a full-time and part-time job. I am born and raised here and still care very much about this town, and I'm very passionate about the way I feel about local politics. I believe I have a right, as a tax paying citizen and one that has a child in the school district, to ask questions when needed. I would like to know where the $30,000 contribution from Art Ryan to Curtis McCall's campaign came from.

I'm not making accusations, simply asking questions. I feel these are legitimate questions to ask...

Does anyone know if I can submit a FOIA to a campaign fund? This "fund" may teeter between public information and personal information - I don't know. But we do have the right to ask the School District this - was any school district money given to and or services purchased (i.e. fundraiser tickets @$250 ea.) any campaign candidates?

If money in fact was taken from our kids and this poor school district, then we have a problem...

. Jessica, yes you can do a FOIA request to the State Board of Elections and the Cahokia School District. You need to request it in writing. You can find the information on their websites. Now , let talk about the contribution; I can almost assure you the money didn't come from District Funds. I bet Ryan had to pay this money to secure that high paid Superintendent position. I find it amazing that he gets this position right before the election. Ryan as well as Drake Jackson, Ivan Sanders,(whose wife is on the Board) Demario Helm, and Shaun ?,(I don't know Shauns last name). And YES, McCall controls the Board!!!! ALL POLITICS I KNOW FOR A FACT !!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOU CAN UNCOVER THE CORRUPTION !!!!!!!

Can you read you freaking idiot? I was making a joke. Guess you don't read well...

Is this the best you've got? Go crawl back under the rock you crawled out from... Go stalk the town you live in - isn't that, ummm, Mayberry? Nothing is wrong in your home, is it? All is perfect????

How many people would like Brian (if that's his real name which I doubt) to go away for good?

Start reporting abuse - he was already ousted once - we can kick him out again.

We're done with you Brian. Toodles! LOL

Unfortunately, Jessica, Brian is either Falling Frank on his computer at work or a middle school dropout who can find pleasure only in making stupid, immature remarks. Keep up the great posts, Jessica. We will wade through the trash of Topix to read the smart stuff.

Just ignore those idiots. They never have anything good to say. Miserable people want other people to be miserable. Don't respond to them.
And on the subject of the schools, they are going to get worse in Cahokia because of who they have running them. They will take expensive trips and they are charged to the school instead of using that money to benefit the students. Too bad the Catholic School closed but I imagine that people were enrolling their kids and not paying. Half the kids at the schools cannot speak proper English and the little kids who start school don't even know how to count and cannot say the ABC's. There should be more laws on who teach our kids and who are running the schools. And politics should not be involved at all.
