The cahokia police force are receiving cash payments every time they tow a car. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. My best girlfriend is married to one of the newer cahokia cops. he is an arrogant no good bastard who brags about the people who they pick on and arrest under false circumstances. he hangs out at local taverns and thinks he's tough. this guy still pisses in bed when he has too many beers. him and his buddies like dave hindend are whats wrong with the integrity of the whole force. and some jackoff named pleau is too busy helping his sisters husband, carl willyard deal drugs. no good crooked bastards.

My husband was pulled over and Cahokia's finest tried to get him for a DUI. This happened one block from our home! He had just gotten off of work at 11:30 PM. The officer had his car towed to Walt's. He was taken to the station and given a breathalizer test. He blew a 0. Still cost us a couple of hundred dollars to get vehicle out of impound even though he was innocent.

There is a lawyer in Edwardsville with a class action against these automatic tow situations. I think his name is POlinske....it might be worth looking the number up and giving him a callon the tow issue

Why was your husband taken down to the station and given a breathalyzer? Normally those are done on the side of the road - for just that reason, because if a person is not proven to be drunk or under the influence then they're let go. What was he pulled over for - there must have been some reason... Not taking up for the police, just asking...

That is the same thing I asked. We were told that a Sgt has to give the breathalizer and that he did not have a little one for his patrol car. They initially pulled him over after following him for two miles and said that he weaved. He was in his work uniform and steel toed boots. I asked if I could walk the one block to pick the vehicle up but was told the tow truck was already there. When he went to the station and blow a 0 the cop had a hissy fit because he already had the paperwork for DUI filled out.

Have you ever watched yourself when driving? Watched anyone else for that matter? We all weave and make little inconsistencies. Its the same as the reason why they put erasers on pencils. Personally instead of going for the DUI money, the police need to patrol the streets for crime. I drove down St Johns Ave the other night and was amazed at the people in the street just hanging there. Nothing happened but I wondered about the safety of the people there as the night waned on. That's where the police should be, not on DUI fishing expeditions

Brian Polinski is the Attorney bringing the class action lawsuits on the towing issues. What a shame that the cops instead of patrolling the streets are looking for ways to make money
Typical...

You are scared of dark faces is all. White kids hung out decades ago on the corners because Cahokia had nowhere for us to go. Bigots are scared if the faces are dark, even though they are doing nothing wrong as you said. But bigots bring those things up and talk about how Cahokia is going downhill. We walk here and shop at night with no problems. Nut up and take your bigot talk to Monrot County forums please.

I hate to tell you this but I have lived here since 1957 and we didn't hang out in the street. We had yards and that's where we gathered. We might have beenat the end of the yard close to the street but we were not IN the street. I drove thru St. Joe's the other night and I could not believe what I saw. Dozens of kids in the streets. I tried to pull in my friends driveway and had to wait for kids to move. Then I tried to get out of the driveway and had to wait for those same kids to move again. While in that subdivision I saw cops going up and down streets as if they were looking for someone.
You are also wrong about there not being anything to do in the old days. We had teen towns, carnivals almost every weekend on the wedge, battle of the bands on shopping center parking lots, goofy golf, to name a few things. Have you forgotten these things? What have these kids got to do? They have none of the things we had. Alot of these kids also don't have parents like we had. Our parents knew where we were, they took us places and dropped us off and came back to pick us up, they whipped our aSSes if we did something wrong. I'm not saying all parents now days aren't good but alot of them are still kids themselves and are busy still having fun.
