Hurricane Katrina

I just uploaded 8 pics of Katrina. I was living at my home in Mississippi, 4 years ago yesterday when this happened, 3 1/2 hours from the coast. We had tree damage, lost power for 5 days, shingle damage, and TV antenna fell off the roof from the wind, on top of our Dodge Pickup. Check them out, they r beautiful!!!

You ain't talking to me anymore? I've been listening to the old music and paying all the damn bills.
That seems to be a never ending job in it's self.
I figure about 4 more weeks and I can can save for the winter months.

Lady Trucker,I was down in New Orleans during Katrina,Not a good place to be.Worked in the hospital down there and was told could not leave had to stay at the hospital and work around the clock.Was scared shitless.High water and so much damage.Had to move back up here wasnt going to go through that agian.

Yeah, 5 yrs ago we went thru 3 of them in a row was without elec for weeks..my lil dog is a katrina rescue

I rode out Katrina,Ivan,Opel,Danny and Aron in Gulf shores Al. Katrina was the worst one to ride out. Had two trees fall on the house and the sound of the high winds where scary.I can't think of a way to describe it.But when the house starts coming apart around you and your stuck there with nothing to do but to pray your a$$ makes it through it really sucks.We didn't get hit as hard as new Orleans but we took a hard hit from her.

LT...the pictures finally showed up. thanks for showing us who you are...you remember i posted my pic a while back. its archived now..LOL. but about those katrina pictures. those are amazing. did you take them? im going to snag some of them for my desktop wallpaper. and that was 3 1/2 hours inland??? krikey....i dont know how people survive something that huge and powerful.

Wow, I'm so glad all ya'll finally got these pics of Katrina. No, I didn't take them, they were sent to me. BUT, my husband was an electrician, and we went to Port Sulpher, La, and we had to go through 2 check points to even get in. It was amazing to c. The TV could not even make your mind comprehend what you r seeing. Only the vision through your own eyes can make you really understand. Mobile homes were just rolled inland with the water, leaving appliances behind as she went rolling through. Devastation was unbelievable!!!!! We even saw an 18 wheeler on top of a house, where the water had left it. We saw houses being taken apart, that were beautiful, but the mold spores made them un-livable. Even when we see the cops searching devastated areas like this on TV, putting the red circle with numbers in it on the doors, this is really true. All the homes left standing in Alexandria had these on them as we rode through town. WOW!!!! And yes Trucker I am still talking to you!!!

Hey Lady Trucker! Thanks for posting these pics. They are awesome! I can't even imagine being the person close enough to snap them. I was there during this time, but did not see the skies like your pics show. Thank God. I would have been even more terrified.
Also....Your pic does not match my pre-conceived idea of what a LT would look like. My bad. You are lovely.
