I remember when June was in charge of the nursery. I was a little kid, and I HATED going into the nursery! I thougt she was mean (probaby because she was strict), but looking back, it probably wasn't that bad. I also remember that as a waitress, she sang Happy Birthday to everyone (and wished them "many, many, many, many more"), and when she received a bicycle from some of the patrons of the bowling alley for her birthday.(I think it was her 62½ birthday?) She was really a sweet lady. Is she still alive?

You never fail to answer do you. Even when someone tries to quit arguing with you, you start in again to keep it going.
That's why you have no children left in your family.

Thanks alot Laser Lady and Krissy for trashing this lady. June was really good with kids and everyone at the bowling alley liked her. Keep your remarks to yourself if you cannot say something nice. She watched me and I played with the other kids just fine and did not mind being there. She was always nice to me. And when I got old enough to bowl I would go tell her hello.

You either didn't read my entire post, or you misunderstood. I didn't trash June; like Krissy, I didn't like being put in the nursery (especially when my big brother didn't have to be in there). I said at the end of my post that she was a sweet lady.

You're right,Janet - when I got old enough to appreciate her, I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. I'm sorry that she has Alzheimer's - it seems like that nasty disease always happens to the best people.:-(

I remember June Plummer. Actually I saw your brother a little over a year ago, when he came to my brother's David Marty memorial mass.
