Is Shooting at someone illegal, especially when they were drunk

I was in the town of Jewett, that night i was shot at in my daughters vehicle. When the sheriff came he took my report and then went to the place as i had described. I found out later that the guy that fired the gun at the vehicle i was driving was arrested for intoxicated and firing a weapon. This man admitted shooting the gun, however, he stated he shot it up in the air. It was around 9:00 - 9:30 at night, he was drunk (had a beer in his hand) stumbling - it went to court and they let him go on his own recognance. What is wrong with this picture. How can you get away with something like this. This system is just not fair. They are telling people that they can shoot a gun at night while being intoxicated and it is okay. Let alone, i know beyond a shadow of a doubt - that he was aiming for me. I am very frightened of this situation. I don't ever want to be in something like this again.

So the final outcome of this situation. The man admitted shooting off a gun. he stated to police that he shot at a coyote, however, the drive stated that he shot the gun off in the air. So this tells you they both lied and could not keep their story straight. This man shot at me and this is what he got from Harrison County Ohio Court System on 11/13 - 125.00 fine and court costs, 30 days probation and 30 days in jail - however, because he plead GUILTY - the judge let the 30 days in jail go. So tell me, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM IN HARRISON COUNTY? Are you telling me that you can shoot at someone and as long as you do not hit them and state you were shooting at something else (coyote) this is what you are going to get?? GO HARRISON COUNTY COURT SYSTEM - Way to be there for the people. Do these people have no conscience - obviously not when you put innocent people in prison and let the real guilty ones free - This is a shame to our Government - It does make you wonder though?

You were not in the town of Jewett.

You were driving past this man's country home five times that evening prior to the events you stated.

Let's back up a bit before that. Your drunken brother Brain threatened that man's woman at a grocery store parking lot. Threatening to kill her and lunged at her. Witnessed by another man and this woman's grandchildren ages 3 and 5. Later Brian was heard yelling "I'll kill them all" to the sheriff when questioned for a statement against the complaint.

So, this evening you drive about the neighborhood shinning your spot light. You were seen my your neighbors circling five times! You were slowing down at this man's garage (garage sits 6 feet from the road), jeering and spinning your tires to throw gravel.

This man and his friend (as the man in question can not drive), take off from his garage to toss a deer hide out.

You spot them, jump in your vehicle and shine the spot light on their vehicle trying to blind them going down the hill along the two hair pinned turns.

He is fed up, shoots into the air and you take off. You call the sheriff who comes down an hour later. He was drunk by that time.

The driver wasn't arrested. They weren't drunk when they were butchering the deer while you were harassing them.

Please remove your family from my neighborhood.

I sure in the heck do not know where you get your lame information, but needless to say, it is very lame - not the facts for sure.

I was in the town of Jewett. I was with my brother Brian at Woods' grocery store. I do know the facts. My brother was not questioned by the sherriff's department until the next day.

So the evening in question that you supposedly know what the heck you are talking about. My family and I along with other friends were at my parents.(Not that I owe anyone a reason - because I don't, however, truth needs to be said - not second hand stuff).

I first off was in my daughters vehicle - never once did i do this supposed jeering/spinning my tires to throw gravel - where you got that - oh wait, it must be second-hand crap. Nothing in the police report was ever mentioned about "deer". How stories get all screwed up when they again, are second-hand. First off, it was your husband driving - they drove by my parents house and thought that they saw my brother on the porch - but needless to say, it was my parents friend having a cigarette. They drove by and started saying "crap" - that is when i got into my daughters vehicle to check out the other property owned by my parents. That is where your husband and his alcoholic friend was stopped in the middle of the road to where i could not get around. The passenger (JR) got out of the passenger side vehicle with a beer in his hand, staggering - yelling profanity - then your husband gets out and states "you do not know who you are messing with". That is when I shined the spotlight on his license plates. In the meanwhile, they are walking up to my vehicle - of course, i was shining the light - hello - two men get out of their vehicle in the night coming towards a woman in her vehicle where she cannot even escape if she wanted to..

As i was going back to my parents house that is when your husband and JR get out - do their shooting - It was not an hour for the cops to show up (second-hand misinformation - again), the cops were in the neighborhood and it took 10 minutes for them to show up. That is when they took my report and stated they knew who it was. They proceeded over to JR's and he stated that he was supposedly shooting at "flying coyotes" and your husband stated "he shot the gun in the air (JR). Here it tells you that they do not have their story straight.

So, miss perfection, why don't you tell me why wasn't the deer mentioned at the time of his arrest. Besides, i am sure you are getting your lame information second-hand - trying to defend your husband - because he was drinking and driving. That is cool.

I am not Jamie G. Although I have no doubt there is no love lost there; as she is as unsavory a character as her husband and JR n clan.

For JR and Robert (Jamie's husband) to pass your parents place, they were one road up from JR's road, so there was a distance of following.

Readers FYI: this is not in the town of Jewett although the mailing address is of Jewett. This is a rural gravel road in which the curving hill is hazardous in winter sometimes in fair weather also.

The reason the 'deer' was not mentioned in a police report is because Robert and JR were butchering deer prior to driving past your parents road. They were dumping the skin/head of the butchered deer; why on your parents road I don't see a reason for it as there are many places along his own road he could do so. Personally, I think they took a side trip to antagonize.

Every local here knows JR goes no where unless in the company of another man for 'some reason'. I think personal protection. Rarely does he leave the immediate area of his home; unless poaching off his neighbors.
