Anyone know?
besides ,,.How did Mr Ovey find out about Rays email to ksp tho? I mean im just hearing this stuff so idk?
he got death threats he says!?
You cant handle the truth! how do you think the ksp got in his emails?
they either got a judge to sign for the warrant if they had probable cause , Or they heard from the Trooper he reported info too.
then gettin death threats which meant the officer mustve been concerned for trigg sheriff safety. So he put a stop to it to protect the sherif from real harm.

its not young troopers that work on cold murder cases, it's SEASONED DETECTIVES that have lots of training. Ray was never a detective with the state police. That just about explains it

The evidence seems to point fingers toward the system you seem to adore. Ray has more detective in his little finger than the rest in their whole bodies. Bout explains it? You sit back and watch. He is getting something done. You just be a bystander. K? He is trying to find a killer. If that makes you mad then just be mad...and hush your mouth while you're at it.

oh me ? is this a threat OR a promise to shut our mouths out here?
Maybe if he was not involving innocent citizens in his so called "conducting an investigation" like assuming we all out here who have NO CLUE of this case nor any information on it whys he's so insistent that we know something!?? And tries to get info out of us that we do not have!?
Maybe that's why thank god someone put a halt to all this and brought him forward to face the music, meaning turn in what he knows.
I heard the courts say it is the kentucky state police who are running this investigation. So why wont he quit trying to take control of it?
Id be nervous to challenge the investigators as he has done.
btw I am certainly NOT mad. Cept maybe at you for telling me to hush my mouth. so is that a threat or a promise? what are you worried I will say?

Facts. There seems to be a problem with convicting killers in this County.(in my lifetime anyway). We have never had ANYONE as concerned and trying as what we have now. Anyone that is offended by him trying to solve a murder is part of the problem. Bashing him or his career as an officer isn't helping. If victim's family is ok with his efforts, you should be too. It's more about her family than it is about you. It's legal for him to investigate an unsolved murder. The system has failed (again). We may still have murderers from 30 year old deaths among us. He is also working on them. If that causes you to bash him or his ability, you have a problem. You might as well say you don't want the killer found. I didn't mean to offend you, but saying he isn't capable of working on a case, then who is? The rest have failed. He is the best we've ever had. Facts. Name 1 seasoned detective that really cares about her family. If I were Black, I would especially demand answers. The Ladd murder (30 years ago) was swept under the rug. We're tired of it. You should be too. Mr Ladd was a super person from a fine family. Our sheriff is trying what others haven't. That just about explains it. I'D help anyway I could. You?

I was there. That's kinda like swept under the rug to me. That's My opinion. If they didn't have the right person, why stop looking? I haven't heard a word about it since it happened. Glad someone is working on it.

I praise Sheriff Burnam for taking a stand. He is on the right track. He honestly wants to get to the bottom of this once and for all. People know who did this, people have told the police who it is. Problem is, in 2002 the Cadiz police department was corrupt. They have been for years. Maybe because one of their own has something to do with this case.......hummm......that is why Ovey has been implicated for cover up......Now that the sheriff has cleaned out the department, he has a clear mind and he is going to hurt alot of people's feelings. I can't wait for the truth to come out and the ring of people involved get exposed! Trigg county will be amazed!

Wow, I guess you are totally clueless. Let me help you get the wool off your eyes. Cadiz police department has always been corrupt. If you have lived there from ANYTIME before Burnman came in then you would know. It's a good ole boys town and they cover up for each other. That is how it worked in this small town. After the murder first happened a cop's name kept coming up. Not because he killed her, but he personally knows who does. It's all been swept under the rug for years because of this crazy ass town. Now that there is someone who is putting up his own money for reward money to solve this case, he is the only person who is coming CLOSE to finding out what is really going on, everyone wants to bash him. He never said in court that Ovey did it, he said that he is implicated. Ovey has something to do with the cover up I am sure. But all in all, the truth will come out, Cadiz will have to face the fact that their small little town isn't roses, and that GL Ovey is trying to convict an innocent man just to cover for an official. As long as the trial is in Cadiz, the accused will never be convicted because EVERYONE knows who is behind all of this. That is why Ovey is trying to get a change of venue.

Anybody...ANYBODY that has a problem with our Sheriff working on this case is part of the problem. There should be no jealousy between departments. People are just shocked to see someone actually working and doing what they said they were gonna do if elected. That's pretty rare to see an elected official do what they said. If the family is ok with it, everyone else should be also. Or just be glad to live among murderers.?? People just blow my mind.

Hollis Alexander's brother lanny is the one who killed chantell from what I hear. Hes conveniently been arrested around the time of all the questions for other things. Most recently having stolen Guns from his own family. Anyone care to verify this? They say in all reports the body was found on a block of wallonia road but if you look at it from a stance that the body was found on barefield road it was directly across from hollis' house at the time. Convenient no?
