Eric Weemes

Searching the net the other day and noticed the story about Eric Weemes. Had a good friend in the navy late early 90's who's name is Eric Weemes. Does anyone know if this is the same Eric that had his life taken away by his wife. If so we would have served together in the philipines

Eric Sandor Weemes
January 24, 1970 - February 6, 2009
Eric Weemes, 39, of Silo, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 in Sherman, Texas. The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 13th from 1-3 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.

Eric was born January 24, 1970 in Okinawa, Japan to Milton and Yoko (Kise) Weemes. He moved with his family to Silo in 1978 from Marietta, Georgia and he attended and graduated from Silo Public Schools. Eric worked for Tyson Foods in Sherman and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Eric will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.

Eric was preceded in death by his father and infant son, Ian Maslin Weemes.

Eric is survived by his mother, Yoko Weemes of Silo; brother, Frank Weemes and wife Kaori of Delaware; sisters, Sue Weemes of Mead and Mary Weemes Gorley and husband Otis of McKinney, Tx; nieces and nephews, Misty Jordan, Cheyenne Weemes, Cherokee King, Sequoyah King, Erica Weemes, Jessica Weemes, Christian Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Kade King, Desiree King and Shelby King; and other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.

You are correct, Eric was in the Navy from 89 thru 93 He did serve on the USS Sterret in the Philippines.

Truly sorry to hear about this. I spent alot of time with Eric back in those days. My prayers are with y'all.
